“Love this Scoby! This is my second scoby from Fermentaholics. It's amazing. I had to buy a second one because the first one couldn't be moved with us from New England to the South. (I also didn't do enough homework on scoby hotels prior to leaving on a month long vacation). I brewed for about a year with my OG scoby and the various babies it produced. I kept things organic by using organic tea and filtered water, flavoring with organic ginger. It's really easy to maintain, easier than a goldfish and so much less maintenance. If you're looking for a "pet" that will produce the goods, help you maintain healthy gut buddies, and ease your kombucha expenses, this is a great investment. My second scoby is brewing away and ready for the flavor part of the cycle, but with grocery shopping minimal, I haven't been able to get any fresh ginger. :( It shipped really quickly for me since it was just coming across the state.”
“They made it so simple! I used to make kombucha a lot, but then I stopped for a few years. Well, hello, where was I going to get a SCOBY? The SCOBY is a very personal, and the thought of 'ordering it online' was awful to me. I started to make one from scratch from a store bought Kombucha, and it was working, but needed way more time than I wanted to wait (if you don't know, starting to make your own SCOBY is possible, but takes time).
