Got my scooter and everything was in good shape

I live and work in Manhattan. I had a Ninebox Max for a little over year. After a lot of reviews and reading on electric-scooter.guide, I decided that I wanted to spend ~$1000 for a single motor scooter with better suspension, disc brakes, and higher top speed and not over 60 pounds. While I'm overall happy w the Apollo Explore after riding for a few weeks, I do notice that there are some upgrades I need to make (top front light) and need to make some sort of adjustment to the water guard above the rear tire as it hits the back wheel on every bump. I also do miss having the app feature on the Ninebot where I was able to Lock and locate the scooter.

Excellent from the start. I got my new Explore in 3 days from placing my order, free shipping and a free (Apollo promotion) upgrade battery charger, which everyone should buy one if you don't own one now. One minor issue with brake adjustment was promptly resolved by the customer care team, I can now vouch that this company backs its products, for 2 years, now that's what I call consumer protection is caring for your customer!! Even though I live in Florida and Apollo is a Canadian company, no worries, they have me covered. The scooter is well built, fast, powerful motor, I'm 6 ft and 190 lbs, with the large platform, I ride like a King! Handles well on inclines and grass surfaces with it's superior suspension, especially those rear shocks are a gift for smoothing the ride on rough surface. Good battery, range as advertised for those commuters out there. And it folds nicely to a size good to store or carry in the car trunk. The collapsible front handle bar is stiff at first, but with practice, it gets easier to do. I strongly recommend that customers view Apollo's YouTube videos for the Explorer, they will show you everything from set up to maintenance that will keep the scooter running for a long time, for sure. As a new customer, Apollo Scooters, has EARNED my loyalty and most important, trust. Good job Chris, Magic and Trent for customer care.

I wanted to meet myself in the middle with a powerful and fun machine that I could take on random joyrides zipping around town, but also be able to use it for practical transportation. I did a ton of research because I'm a bit of a purchase research nerd. The competition is strong but once I found the Explore I pretty much had made my decision. I knew what I wanted and the Explore checked the boxes. I am currently 220lbs with my backpack and helmet. The Explore can get me up to 29mph with my current weight. Not only that but it EATS hills for breakfast. I usually cruise at about 18-20mph and that is a super fun speed. The suspension is quite nice, though I do encourage everyone to learn how to use your legs to help absorb big bumps. The lights are highly noticeable at night and they happen to look cool as hell too. The folding lock will be very stiff when it arrives so be aware of that. The brakes may also rub a little when fresh out of the box so check out the video Apollo made for adjusting this. It's really easy to adjust the brakes. I suck at mechanical stuff, so if I can do it, most everyone else can too.

two rides, and i already am in love. this review will go top to bottom - from the box to after the first ride.. The Box.. quality box and packing, lil messy with the styrofoam getting everywhere but it is WELL packed The multitool... i love this thing Initial set up of the controls on the handle bar.. EASY to figure out where to put them for yourself. powered it on and adjusted a few settings change to MPH - kick start, more aggressive regenerative breaking... which was fairly easy to do also the first pull of the throttle. Brace yourself for this the slight kick up from the push and your off... the suspension... WHAT BUMPS.. i took it slow - but this took bumps like nothing, comfortable and springing but not mushy at all. the brakes... 100% can stop in like 15 feet if ya need to... in my first 40 minute ride i had 5 people ask me what scooter that is... and i answered with pride.

Overall Experience is 9.5 out of 10... I did my first brake adjustment yesterday and it seems pretty perfect... not a sound, and stops smoothly. Only problem with the scooter is the rear fender... it's an issue that Apollo is addressing and I understand the modification/reinforced solution is around the corner. I personally think they should ditch the fender and put a tail/fin on the back, like the Pro and Ghost. Concerning the rear fender, my fender cracked and ended up coming completely off the other day... HOWEVER, Apollo is Covering it. These guys rock... I talked to Maxwell and told him what happened and he looked up my scooter and said "yeah, we're gonna send you a new fender and also some upgraded screws and washers and nuts that have worked for some customers. .. until the their fix for the issue hits the streets, that will be fine. If you're thinking about buying one, I spent close to a month researching and came away realizing that Apollo is one of, if not the best scooter company on the planet right now. The warranty they have on their product is the best I found. I'll finish with that I live in Downtown San Diego and that I also own an Audi A3... which I haven't driven since I took delivery of my Apollo Explore... literally my car has been sidelined by a 1000W Scooter... It's just too much Fun !!!

Great so far. We have only had it 3 days. The latch that you use to fold it is extremely stiff but my son doesn't intend on folding it anyway.
