“I love my scooter! At first I was having some problems with getting the speedometer read mph but they were very helpful through the entire process. I have the Horizon which is so much fun for a beginner that wants to step up to more than just an every day rental that you get on the streets. I will more than likely move up to the wide wheel pro after I get comfortable with the Horizon and pass the Horizon to my daughter whom loves to surf the streets with me. Everyone should own one of these. They are an affordable great way to get around and fluidfreeride has a fantastic selection!”
“Overall pretty happy with this but I have a few criticisms. If I had to buy again I'd probably go with something with solid tires and a little more power. First of all, some of the bolts were seized when I got the scooter, so I'll need to take the scooter to a shop to get them drilled out so I can install the carrying handle. That's easier said than done these days. Second, the top speed isn't really accurate- it's the maximum speed the wheels will spin if you hold the scooter in the air; even without a person on the scooter it can't reach that speed when the wheels are touching the ground. The max I get to going down hill is around 21 mph. I am not sure why Fluid Free Ride lists a max speed of 25 mph when the manufacturer lists its top speed as 22 mph. Also the front tire is an air tube, not solid rubber and will eventually burst. Mine popped a leak after about 120 miles without a nail or anything. That's not the end of the world but the problem is it's impossible to find replacement tubes. The measurements on the tire aren't true - it says 8.5" but it's more like 8" and any of the standard replacement 8.5" tubes and solid tires for Xiaomi etc are too big. And fluid free ride seems to always be out of stock on replacement tubes.”
“I purchased two Horizon scooters. The on line purchase was easy, and the scooters arrived quickly. I'm very happy with the scooters so far. I've got about 35 trouble free miles so far. The scooter reached the rated top speed of 25 mph. I haven't ridden it until the battery was dead, so I can't say how far it will go on a charge, but based on the charge indicator, I think it will get at least close to the advertised distance of 20 miles. Only reason I'm giving four stars is because I wanted to purchase two open box scooters to save some money. The web site says they have plenty, but I wanted confirmation from the store before doing a four hour drive. Getting an answer turned out to be a real pain. After several days of talking to reps that didn't know, I finally got an email from the store saying they didn't have any right now. So in summary, if you are just doing the on line purchase, then I'd give them top marks. If you need to talk to a rep, especially about anything having to with the physical store in Miami, be prepared for some frustration.”
