“My wife has been asking for an electric scooter to take on rides around our neighborhood. We have a neighbor who highly recommended the Horizon Practical Commuter Scooter. She has one already, and offered my wife a test drive. I could see the smile on her face from down the street, and decided that this was the perfect gift for Christmas. My wife suggested that I get one as well, and after some research, decided that this was a good idea.
Our scooters arrived roughly a week after the order was placed, and the plan was to wrap them and place them under the tree. However, the excitement was a bit too much, and they (somehow) ended up out of the box and charging in the garage a few hours later. The next evening we took them out for their first neighborhood cruise. We spent the next 45 min going up and down each street laughing, and looking at all of the Christmas decorations. I'm pretty sure the phrase "this is RAD" was said at least 30 times.
This was about 2 weeks ago, and we have had them out almost every evening since with no issues. We are both totally happy with our gifts to each other this year, and look forward to taking our scooters on future adventures.
Pros and Cons? Glad you asked...
Pros:
Ordering was simple, and delivery was fast.
Minimal assembly with clear instructions, and tools are supplied.
Easy to operate, and performance was way better than expected.
Cons:
Could've added a page in the manual describing the indicators on the LCD and what they are for.
Power connection arcs when plugging in the battery to the supplied charger.”
“Received the vehicle in a very timely manner. Well packaged and easy to put together, fun to ride. Unfortunately in my excitement to get it out of the box and on the street as soon as possible.... I lifted the scooter from the rear and broke off the rear fender. Emailed customer service and within a few days they sent me a new replacement at NO CHARGE. Great customer service - great product”
“Seems like a quality build, got it for my birthday yesterday and have ridden it twice so far. Speed maxed out at 22mph on a full charge and smooth level ground, so not quite what was advertised but it's a very comfortable ride. Throttle is a little jerky and electric motor is a bit noisy, but good fun.”
“I previously own the es4 segway and nothing compares to the horizon this scooter is by far the best under $700 bucks. The power, the way is feels, the way it looks, the way is drives....the only thing is the handle bars become a bit loose but nothing to worry about. I would recommend this to anyone who has been shopping around for scooters. Buy this one!!!”
