“We purchased Segway scooters prior to purchasing the Horizon scooter. The Horizon is hands down superior - they are faster and much better over bumps and sidewalk cracks. The shocks are super absorbent and having the front wheel pneumatic is also helpful when hitting bumps. Our kids love cruising around on these. It's helpful that they have 3 speed settings so younger kids can't get going full speed and so they can be safe. We love these and can't wait for many hours of fun!”
“As stated, this was my first scooter, and after a LOT of research, I decided on the Horizon for the nice balance of speed, range, and slightly increased weight limit.
I received it today and so far have covered about 10 miles in a couple of different test rides. From getting it out the box, making sure everything is tight, and getting it ready to go, it took about 10 minutes! So easy to get going.
The Bad : There really isn't anything ‘bad' about this scooter. The only negative (That I already knew about going in) is that going out of my housing complex is about a 12 degree incline, and with my 220lbs, I have to give a few kicks to keep the scooter going. (Fair comparison - My wife had zero trouble going up, and weighs in around 120). I suspect around 180lbs is the breakpoint here.
The Good : Once I got up that short steep hill, this thing kicks ass! No issues cruising along in any mode. It looks good, it feels good with the suspension, and you find yourself doing 20mph without noticing that you got there! Running on roads with slight rolling elevation, you really don't notice much speed change at all.
The Summary : an excellent choice of scooter that gives enough speed to be extremely fun, while also giving enough range that it is useful outside of pure recreation. I'm addicted!”
“This scooter hits the sweet spot for me. It's not huge and bulky like the super scooters out there, and isn't weak like some of the everyday scooters used by major scooter shares. I feel much more comfortable on the road with cars going 22-24mph instead of ~15mph. The suspension is nice but nothing too crazy, it'll soften bumps a little but still isn't really an offroader. Slight noise while it accelerates but not too much more than other electric scooters. Overall, I love it, it's sleek and fun to ride. Great for exploring cities and commuting.”
“All is well, the scooter performs very well and does the job. Just the head light is too low for visibility in the dark. Wish it was up higher. Overall I'm happy with the scooter. Just the lock needs to make a loude noise when locking the steer bar. From the bottom pin when your about to go riding..”
“I traveled 4 miles every day to work (back and forth). The scooter is solid, steady and you can feel the suspension while you are riding the scooter. I used to have to charge the scooter once every 3 or 4 days (when traveling 4 miles every day). After 6-8 months I had to charge it every 2 days and now, after 11 months, I have to charge it every day, otherwise an error will be shown on the screen and the scooter would die.
Lastly, the scooter's bar wobbles a little after 2 or 3 months of use, not sure how to fix it. It is not that bad but it is kind of annoying.”
Hi Peter - Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you are happy with the Horizon. We will send you some instructions on how to fix the wobble in the handlebar. Cheers!
“After pre ordering and unexpected shipment delays, my Horizon scooter was safely delivered
Customer Service staff was very helpful and supportive during the process and I enjoy my Horizon scooter very much. It is fast and comfortable!”
“First day put 20 miles on it with the wife, and let me tell you that it's a very fun scooter.
3 speed modes and just with gear 2 is more than enough. I've tried the rental scooters on the southern California beaches and this scooter blows it out the water in ride feel and speed.
Especially during this pandemic I suggest getting one, get out and have some fun!”
