4.6 Rating 33 Reviews
Product is very sturdy/well made. Customer service is easy to deal with and quick to answer and help. Existing customers get 50% off all parts and labor! The machine itself, easy to work on unlike other brands, parts always available, I can list many reasons to choose FFR. They are top tier.

Scooter arrived in good shape. I have put 53 miles on the scooter. I live in moderately hilly Philly suburb and have been slowing expanding my outings testing the range. So far I have 53 miles on scooter. My biggest ride was 12.3 mile trip on fresh battery that ended with 47V left in the battery (about 2.5 of 5 bars). The trip had cummulative climbing assent of 923 feet (Garmin tracked). On some hills battery bars dipped to 2 bars w expected voltage drop below 47V. Decent trip, but unsure if I would get full 26 miles (13Ah battery) in Philly area. The load after backpack on scooter was 200lbs. Scooter has decent power and I agree with other reviews that brakes could be better at higher speed, I may need to adjust, but are more than adequate < 15mph. The battery is definitely load dependent as I have done 12 miles w more battery left riding less aggressively. Carryimg the scooter is awkward because the stem itself rotates. While it locks in down position, it is still possible for stem to rotate down which makes carrying scooter unstable and awkward. Overall I am happy w purchase and would recommend to anyone.

The Horizon 13Ah is my first Electric Scooter, and have been enjoying using it when I can get out on it. It's a good day-to-day scooter living in a 3rd floor apartment, in terms of weight, speed, and range. Lots of fun, and a pretty good beginner scooter for the price. Just keep in mind it's not going to keep up with traffic(I topped out at 20MPH with me weighing 165-170), and the braking works best when coupled with eBrakes at a P-Setting of 2 or 3.

This is my first scooter and I couldnt be happier with it so far. I received my scooter a few weeks ago and it was very easy to set up. I've seen negative feedback about the charging chord being so close to the wheel but you just have to fold the scooter when you charge so the cable can't hit the wheel. As for range, I havnt figured out yet how much range I get as I keep the scooter charged at full most of the time but I'm planning on testing out how much range I get in a single charge. This was one of the main reasons that I bought the Horizon (13Ah) so I'm really hoping for getting close to 25/30 miles on a single charge when I do test it out. I can say that I rode it for about 12 miles on Gear 3 and from 100% charge (54.6V) the battery went down to 47.5V with the manual saying that around 39V power the battery will shut down. So I can make a guess that the range they claim is pretty close to being accurate. It goes very fast. I'm 220lbs and I've gotten up to 23MPH or so. The ride is smooth and the scooter is easy to transport when folded. It's definitely on the heavier side so carrying this around for long periods of time probably won't be comfortable for you. All in all, I highly suggest this scooter for anyone who wants something that is powerful and reliable!

I have 55 miles on my scootscoot as of 1 week from getting it in the mail. I just did my first long ride to test the battery on a real world setting. I weigh about 155lbs with my backpack and helmet and other gear I wear while riding, and I usually top out at 22mph on a full battery all the way to less then half a battery then it starts to slow down to like 20 or 19mph right up until it dies. Then the scooter just dies and turns off when you run out of juice. I rode to work and back home on one charge and made it a total of 22-23 miles while riding in 3rd gear an almost full throttle the whole way!!! There are stop and goes when going through Seattle and I think I put the 48V 13Ah Horizon through the works today and I was not disappointed in the least bit. They didn't lie about the range on the real world reviews and for what the cost is, you'll end up saving the cost of the scooter in gas money in less then 6 months I'm sure of it!!! My partner has wanted a motorized scooter since she saw Princess Diaries and I finally got her this one and she has also fallen in love with the ride and now even wants to go faster haha. Going to have to upgrade to faster rides in a year or two :)

I have put off this review long enough. I am now at 319 miles so this is long overdue. I purchased the 13Ah version because I wanted a scooter that could get me to school and back (14 miles round trip) on a single charge without giving me range anxiety, needing a replacement battery too soon (since all batteries loose capacity overtime with each charge cycle), and without the speed falling to a crawl as I approached my destination. This scooter has passed all of these requirements with flying colors. To get down to business with the real world specs (from my experience): my weight: I am 5'11" and 190lbs (86.18 Kg). Fully loaded up with my backpack and gear Im probably closer to 210 lbs (95.25 Kg) Speed: I get 23 mph with a full charge on flat ground with or without my heavy backpack on, and I've hit 29mph downhill. Ascending the steepest hill on my commute, the speed falls to 16 mph which is so much faster than even the fittest cyclists around me. Speed falls down to about 20mph on flat ground when the battery is at half capacity. range: As advertised so far. I ride this scooter in the highest speed setting with the throttle wide open at all times and can get 26 miles in a single charge which is incredible. Ride quality: I had no Idea how smooth those little shocks (1 in the front and 2 in the rear) would smooth out the ride. I wanted to avoid solid tires but the suspension more than makes up for the typically harsh feel of a solid rear tire and I actually appreciate the added protection against flats (my city preys on tires of all types). People often say "if you hit one small crack, your teeth are gone," and I confidently tell them that this is not the case. A massive crater of a pothole could (my city is full of them) but that's why you pay attention. The scooter is so nimble that this is easy to avoid as long as you're vigilant. charging: as advertised 6hrs to full charge portability: extremely small footprint as advertised and easy to throw in even the tiniest of ubers if need be. The folding handlebars are a gem for this and I can't imagine not having this feature. My two biggest concerns before purchasing this scooter were the lack of an IPX waterproof rating and the hill climbing capability. Just like all the others, those concerns have also been put to rest. My commute involves a hill that is not only very steep but also very very long. I am pretty fit and active and that hill is tough to even walk up from start to finish. Seasoned cyclists love using it to train on, and I can zoom past all of them on my way to the top. Equally as important, this doesn't put nearly the dent into my charge as I thought it would. As for the lack of an IPX rating, you'll be fine so long as you don't plan on consistently riding in the rain. it's generally best not to ride any scooter in wet conditions. Even if the battery is protected, this can shorten the life of the scooter if not tended too properly but more important is the impact on safety. That said, getting caught in a little shower has been no big deal for me. This scooter is fast, fun, easy to transport, and has already saved me so much on gas. I only take my car out now if it rains or the temps drop below freezing (and I have ridden it down to 32 degrees multiple times) I'll end this post with a few tips. Purchase some eye protection or wear sunglasses. You move surprisingly quick, so bugs or particles getting in your eye can be startling. Buy a handlebar mounted light to increase your visibility in traffic and to better illuminate your path (a red light for your helmet is also a good idea for rear visibility). Avoid riding if the temps go below freezing as this has the potential to cause plating in the battery and reduce its lifespan. Avoid the rain but if you get caught in a light shower, she can take it. Just dry her off with a rag when you get home. Thank you Fluidfreeride for this amazing product! I've been singing your praises far and wide!

I bought the Horizon for my 13 yr old to go to and from school, about 3 mile round trip. It is a great ride and very responsive. My other son recieved a Segway Ninebot and they don't even compare. I rode both and the Horizon is definitely a beter built machine. So glad I went with the fluidfreeride! Great purchase. Than you!
