“¬†¬†¬†¬† I purchased the 2019 Widewheel from Fluidfreeride in February of 2020.¬† I have waited to write a review until I had honest use and input about it.¬† I did have a couple small issues that with quick emails and pictures Fluidfreeride immediately resolved.¬† I believe both issues were of NO fault of Fluidfreeride.¬† Mostly shipping damage, even though the scooter was packaged very well!¬† Regardless, all issues were taken care of.
I am a larger person, 6'4" and honestly a bit over the weight capacity for the scooter.  After a ton of research I went with the Widewheel regardless of the limited 220lb capacity.  I almost went with the Horizon line, simply because of weight capacity.  However, was concerned that the Horizon would be underpowered for me.  After a couple months with the Widewheel, I really have no complaints.  I obviously don't "beat" the scooter or suspension and use common sense. (Not an off-road scooter)  I have commuted to work many times (9 miles round trip) and even taken it for joy rides after commuting.  I have yet to kill the battery before I am ready to stop riding around town.  I actually ride in eco-mode most of the time, unless I am zipping down the side of the road and want to keep up with traffic better.  The trail I ride to work is paved obviously and twists and turns.  The power mode is actually almost too punchy for the trail, but not in a bad way.  The option of a bit more than you need is always better than lacking.
Some small things to note:  from day one the suspension has made noise, not like an annoying squeek, but a noticeable sound.  Not just because of weight.  You put one foot on, you hear it, or with 120lb wife on it you hear it.  Mud flap a bit short as many people gripe about, meh, it is not meant for rain anyway.  The folding mechanism loosens a bit after riding.  Takes a two second twist and you are good to go.
Overall, the ride quality is pretty good, and I like the way it handles and turns.  I have ridden motorcycles for years and it turns similar in my opinion.  The power, no question about it.  See a hill you think, idk?  Yet up you go!  No flashy display but I have had no issue switching modes, or understanding the lights.  I like it. (Read the manual before complaining)
I also really like the key switch to prevent people from riding away.  I have already had annoying coworkers try and "figure it out" while I was away, push throttle, middle button etc ... "is this thing electric...?" For some reason, people in my experience are very curious and seem to invite themselves to monkey with it.  The key is good!
I would recommend both Fluidfreeride, and the Widewheel!
¬†¬†¬†¬† Please ride responsibly as this is still a controversial item many places.¬† Be respectful to bikers, cars, & pedestrians.¬† I swear since I purchased, I have seen 10 more scooters around town.¬† People riding double (kid and mom), down the middle of the road ... use your head.¬† Don't get them banned for everyone else!”
“I love the scooter ir looks great and the a customer services great people I should recommended the widewheel. Version2019. Run greats it really powerfull. I love it”
“Customer service is top notch.
Received scooter with broken suspension covers and they replaced all for free and I even lost my extension cable which they are replacing too. The scooter itself is a blast. Ride is great on flat surface but harsh on bumpy roads. I love the look of the scooter and it does pull hard going uphills. No regrets with purchase”
“This was so far one of my top purchases for 2020 so far. The scooter is built right with plenty of power. I'm 6'2" and 240lbs and this scooter handles excellent. Powers up hill with ease. Plenty of deck space for my size 15 feet. I bought it primarily for taking it with me on the car show circuit. My car is all about speed and looks and the scooter fills the need for speed for sure. There are only two things in my opinion that need improvement. They are miner. First is the throttle response. It should have a dampened response from off to on. It will jump. Second is removing the slack in the upright bar for the handle bars. Even when in the upright position and locked in place, the is a small amount of slack. Other than that, excellent fun scooter and would recommend to anyone. Worth the money and great service also.”
“I upgraded to the Wide Wheel from a smaller scooter that cost about $200.00 I originally got the scooter when I no longer had a vehicle to go to and from the grocery store, etc. I loved riding the scooter and had it for about 2 years when I started looking at the Wide Wheel. Having more and more scooters on the roads, I was concerned about possible upcoming law changes regarding where you could and could not ride the scooters. I wanted something with more power and better brakes just in case they made me ride on the street. We do not have bike lanes in my neighborhood. Finally my smaller scooter stopped working and that made me have to get another one. I ordered my Wide Wheel and I love it. The power is impressive. The ride is much smoother than my smaller scooter. It handles bumps easily and smoothly. I love everything about the Wide Wheel! It does handle a little differently due to the very wide wheels, but I am getting used to it. I have very bad knees and after riding my old scooter, they would hurt. Not with the Wide Wheel though. It takes hills well with very little slowing depending how much I am carrying. It will even go in the grass with no problem. I do not recommend starting in grass though. Especially if it is wet grass. My old scooter could not ride off the pavement at all. A novice may have more trouble with it at first, but I think you would get used to it quickly. I highly recommend this scooter.”
