“I have loved every bit about this scooter! The power and battery life are fantastic and I am getting so much use out of it. My only complaints would be some suspension issues when going down bumpy pathways and the kickstand is a little weak but besides that I think the scooter is fantastic!”
“This scooter is fast. It has tons of power and the brakes handle some really steep hills. My only complaint is I find the single button on top with lights a little difficult to use.”
“I did a lot of research before purchasing the 2020 version of the Mercane widewheel pro with a key-lock. Mine was manufactured in August of 2020. I noticed that the front wire issue was taken care of.
The front and back brakes are excellent, although you probably have to adjust the back breaks to make sure they are tighter than the front break. You also need to learn how ride this beast. Spread your feet with one foot on the front and one foot on the back and slightly bend your legs. When you break, bend your legs and shift your weight to the back foot. You also need to slow down and take a wider turn because it's not like a bicycle.
I would also suggest you get appropriate gear, elbow pads and gloves with hard knuckles, because if/when you do spill the scooter, the fall will be a lot easier. Take some time to practice before you take it out on the streets. You don't want to be flipping over the handle bars on your first spill. That's how you break your jaw and lose teeth. Go to a flat parking lot and practice. Balance you weight and your feet.
I also find the regular throttle okay. It's not as bad as some commenters say in my opinion. You just have to learn how to use it, like any clutch system of all cars with stick shifts, it takes a while to get a feel for the correct pressure.
I haven't done more than 19 mph yet. That's fast enough for me, so I don't imagine doing non-eco mode ever. Regardless, the build is strong and it handles the bumpiness of the streets and hills in San Francisco very well. It amazes me when I go up a 5 degree hill with no loss in speed at all.”
“Day 6 and still no answer. I wanted a simple swap for a working scooter. They wanted to send me a new back motor and install it myself lol these guys are too much. For $1200 I just wanted a swap ( a new working scooter) I never wanted my money back until the lack of response. I have all the emails and reached out to my credit card company and filed a complaint. Terrible, you should let the customer reply to your rebuttal on your reviews. The lack of response is terrible. It doesn't take 24 hours to respond to a email. never mind six days. If I was buying scooter I would be talking to someone asap.”
