“I'm not going to bother going in to detail about how good the performance, handling, and sheer value is, those have been mentioned consistently in other reviews and I absolutely agree. It's really great value, considering it was only ¬£200 more than my Ninebot ES4, which was a great entry into the e-scooter world, but it had problems... lots of problems, but my biggest issues were the brakes and front wheel traction. The Widewheel cleans up in both those departments as well as having plenty of power on tap. It's just a different class of scooter. However I would like to see a couple of things in future iterations of the Widewheel: 1) A button to switch between modes on the fly to easily adapt performance to the situation. 2) Some sort of backup brake in the event of disc brake failure, this being the primary and only brake. 3) Perhaps a fold out handle embedded into the recess at the "beginning" of the rear fender (much like the Onewheel Pint's built in handle) so one could easily grab the handle and stem, without folding the scooter, when traversing a quick flight of stairs for example. Having to crank the wheel to fold down the stem and then fold it back up again, while very effective and stable, can be a bit annoying for quick obstacles. Apart from that, its a fantastic e-scooter and has become my primary commuting tool. Customer service has also been great, quick responses and very helpful.”

“I just want to say how much better the Mercane Wide Wheel has made my work commute. It is fast, efficient, and fun. The throttle is not too punchy and I really enjoy the speed.
This review is mostly about Peter at Fluid Free Ride. Probably the best customer service I have received in a long time. He is very personable, helpful, and solution motivated. I think it can be scary buying an expensive transportation scooter online due to the fear of typical wear and tear or replacement of parts. Peter really took all that anxiety away and was extremely helpful. The Mercane Wide Wheel is an excellent product, but so is the customer service.

“I've put on about 10 miles on the scooter on mostly urban roads and bike paths.
Great acceleration even for my 225 pound friend. There was no hill that posed a problem. Wider wheels provided greater stability at a cost of some agility. A couple of improvements I would like to see would be better interface for the settings and a brighter front headlight and rear tail light.
Maybe larger wheels to increase comfort over bumps and cracks.
Haven't put on enough distance to assess range.
Overall a decent scooter for a fair price.”
