MANTIS 2025 - fluid Edition Legacy Trigger Throttle Display 18.2Ah - 33 miles range Reviews

I love my scooter! It's quick, nimble and fast! However, I would like to say that it has slop in the handle bar stem which can feel unsafe. Other than that, it's a great scooter as far as performance.

Overall I enjoy the scooter, how ever it is too "industrially" built. Stuff like the floor cover and the wire sleeves are a nice touch to cover up the scooter, but both look sloppy. The floor disconnects with slightest of touch, and the wire sleeves have messy non-clean cut endings, with debris from an initial cut still there. The fact that the wiring on the board for lighting and the motors is direct, also feels cheap. To explain further: whenever you decide to push the scoter, lighting deems buy 80% with every press of the pedal. I understand that performance is king, but at least having a setting in options to leave some power for lights would be nice. It gives a 2,4k scooter a feeling of a cheap Chinese toy. However, all of this small nicks do not deny the fact that there is nothing else similar in performance on the market and stability on high speeds. Suspension also requires a separate shout out. Its a joy to ride a scooter, and right now I do not regret spending my money on it. It's speed and range are great tools for me, and its able to keep those attributes, while still have a slick design. ABS is a necessity on high speeds, and I'm glad I have the ability to enable it, while in town. But for the price I think that those little details need to be fixed. This is not a cheap 400$ Xiaomi or Ninebot, it's a 2400$ scooter, and details need attention at that price. I am still giving the scooter 5 stars, just because of how fun it is, BUT THOSE SMALL THINGS REQUIRE ATTENTION.

While I am In reality , a beginner, only been scooting for a couple months now , my first scooter was entry level tops 23 mph , I love going 38mph on my mantis , to feels very stable and I feel confident on it . I did not feel I could take one hand of the handle bars on the entry level , waving at passers by on the mantis is no problem , power and speed is there !

This is my second scooter and I really like it. If I were to pick the best feature, I would say it would be the acceleration and torque. Yes, it can go 40 mph but most of the times you will not be going that fast. Self preservation will make to top at around 33 mph. The acceleration however, you will constantly use. Taking off from a dead stop or grinding up a steep incline. In these scenarios this scooter shines where others sputter. If there was one thing I wish could be done better (not only this scooter by the way), is the way regenerative braking works. In its current implementation it is too "jolty". Even under a light touch the braking can be very abrupt (not linear). Although I think that is a limitation of the technology than a reflection of the Mantis itself.

I purchased a Base Model Mantis on 8/12 which arrived on 8/23. It seemed to work fine out of the box and had a green light on the charger. It charged overnight and seemed fine. However, it will not turn on at all. The charger no longer shows any light indication, and the scooter is totally unresponsive. The customer support has been as responsive as my scooter over the last two days. Hopefully they get in contact with me and I will reassess my review if they can offer a working replacement. Until then, I do not recommend risking the purchase.

Simply amazing. The product and quality of product is as expected, fantastic. However the customer service is absolutely without parallel. This is my second buying experience with this company and as long as they are in business, I dont plan on ever purchasing scooters or parts elsewhere. Any time I had a question, I received a timely, rather fast actually, courteous answer

I'm just under 100 miles in, overall the performance met/exceeded expectations. I'm 6'2" and 180lbs - top speed between 38-39mph on flats with full battery, 40-41mph down hill, and 34-37mph on flats with 25-50% battery. The torque on the Base Mantis is superb, acceleration strong and not for the faint-of-heart. I can easily get 30mph up most hills. All of these stats were understood ahead of the purchase, but the feeling of accelerating and moving at those speeds on an e-scooter FAR exceeded my expectations. As far as build quality, I was mostly impressed - very sturdy, and the suspension is great. However, there were some missing screws on the base of my Mantis upon arrival, and some of the hex screws arrived with surface rust which was surprising. I notified Fluid Free Ride and they quickly sent new hardware to replace this missing screws on the base of the scooter.
