“The FFR Mantis is the first serious scooter ive owned. Peter and FFR was great with preparing me with videos and the owners manual to get me set up properly with this beast.
I have all the settings just the way i want them and ive never been happier with a scooter purchase. I have the pro version and the upgraded brakes are enough to justify the cost. (Im huge on safety). The battery and upgraded controller are amazing as well.
Honestly the faster speeds dont freak me out due to how stable the suspension and large handlebars are.
In short, its a luxury scooter with beast mode motors.

This scooter is no joke. This will have more power than what you need in a electric scooter. If you want something that faster than this then I would rather get a motorcycle or electric motorcycle cause this thing is STUPID FAST. The main reason why I got this scooter was my place is located at very hilly area. However, I took this scooter to one of the most stiff hill in Downtown Los Angeles and it was still hitting 25~30km/h that's already faster than max speed of normal street-sharing scooters. And I was trying to hit 40mi/h and it actually did... and I've never hit a max speed that it was told on manual on other scooters. but this DID and it was truly scary. I would recommend full-face helmet and gloves at least if you are trying to hit that max-speed. Cause it gave me a little wobble because of the speed and the wheel size. But compare to other models 10in wheels were handling that speed much better than other ones that have 7 or 8 in. Furthermore, throughout riding in a F***** UP road condition in L.A. this suspension WORKS. It really is makes a lot of difference. Performance is just on-point. So far, impressive.

This scooter is STURDY!! All the wire work was great. and I would not hesitate to go on a off-road tracks with this (but not too hardcore). However, before I was getting on for a first time. I read through the manual and it told me to tighten all the bolts and screws before so I did. However, one of the screw on the front wheel cover has been taken off while I was riding for the first time. And it gave me a rattling noise. I am having a hard time finding exact screw that they have used hopefully I get it from Fluidfreeride since I have good service from them.

People who get this scooter does not expect portability because this thing is 60lbs. However, folding lock system helps to carry nicely by holding a stem. I have to finish this review because of word count but this thing ROCKS.”

“Just preordered the Mantis. Had purchased the Widewheel from Fluid freeride in february and still love it but I felt it was time for an upgrade. When I passed through Miami three weeks ago, I got lucky and Peter was available to let me try the Mantis. I tried their sample with the smaller battery and was immediately sold..
I am used to quite some power from my WW but the Mantis is a completely different ballpark. Acceleration is insane if you want to but at the same time less jerky than the WideWheel. I prefer the thumb throttle of the WW but I guess the finger throttle allows for better control.
I only took it for a 2 mile ride and even tried a little bit of grass. the suspension is great and more forgiving than the WW. the board is wider and allows you to keep your feet in parallel while riding. you can even turn off the second motor while riding to take some power out and save battery.
Loved the scooter and already counting days for mine to arrive.
