almost 5 stars....here's why I gave it 4: 1. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get the advanced settings...finally I think the regen is "working".

I wanted to give the scooter a good solid review but being in PA the weather in the winter is hit and miss. The scooter arrived as expected and was immediately impressive to ride. I never road one before and at the age of 45 and 205Lbs, after 20 MPH your cruising and getting a bit scared, LOL. The smoothness of the ride and quick acceleration is simply in a class of its own. I had others ride it that have rode other scooters and they said the ones you rent are not even close to the performance! I live on a small mountain and going more than 1 mile from home means heading off the mountain and dropping about 500-600 feet. My biggest adventure to date was leaving the mountain, popping on a rails to trails (dirt/gravel/a little mud and water) for about 3-4 miles and visiting my buddy. Getting back home was back tracking and back up the mountain. Phone was with me and I was really expected to be making a call for some one to come get me. Round trip was 12.5 mile mainly in high power/dual motor mode due to the terrain and not only did I make it home I was still hitting 35mph on the final ¬Ω mile from home. If I was in town (off my mountain) I can see range easily being 20-30 miles or more depending how you ride. Last thing, the lights and bell are a neat feature, only complaint on the lights is not having an actual headlight. I purchased one and also a basket to carry tools to my various projects. Due to the basket, the best mounting place for the head light is not useable now and it still works but it points off to the side. This would not be an issue if I didn't need the basket. Very happy with the purchase. If you have the $ and want a fun ride that can scare a seasoned Harley and sport bike (you know 100MPH wheelies just because you can) driver its defiantly worth the investment! Joe From Wyoming PA

So far I've only ridden it twice. A test drive to a nearby grocery store at night, and commute to classes on the next morning. Advantages: 1-Excellent suspensions that make you feel you're floating, in a stable manner; glide over uneven roads, and extremely smooth ride. 2-Enough torque to make you accelerate noticeably on uphills. And arm-pulling fast on even roads. 3-Can reach nice speeds 4-Keeps you going on hills without feeling that you're completely stalling. 5-VERY bright lights that shows your presence at night 6-Strong brakes 7-Responsive and responsible customer support. Downsides/Disadvantages: 1-While the lights do en excellent job to show you presence, they're not very good to light up your path. Pair it with a head light. 2-The handle bar is big, yet poorly designed to not have any straight parts on it for headlight or other mount. You must get the handle bar "extender" if you want to put mounts on it. 3-No integrated hook on the stem that would have been otherwise very helpful for quick grocery shopping. Especially for those like me who use it as main commute as a college student in a crowded campus. 4-Rear fender doesn't work all that well, you'll get your legs and mid to lower back drenched in water and tiny debris if you drive on wet or even damp-wet roads. (However, After mentioning this issue to fluidefreeride, they've offered to send me a rear fender extender free of charge) On a related side note to downsides. This is not a downside but rather an "expected inconvenience" that comes with a scooter with these capabilities like. So just be aware of them, and that is that it is large and heavy. Still, it's not that bad if you only have to carry it once out and into your home/apartment. More over: -If you're a heavy person like me and like to drive "quick" 20~25 mph, you'll find the need to drive on dual turbo mode. Which makes the battery suffer a lot. It went down from full charge to 2 bars in about 2.6~3 miles.

Awesome scooter. My first high powered scooter. I'm 225 lbs and it pulls me up hills 25-30 mph. I've gotten 16 miles on a single charge. I'm a larger rider and live in a hilly area. You won't regret buying this scooter. And the customer service is great I had 2 questions and they got back to me in 3 minutes.

THE BEST & DURABLE E-SCOOTER OUT THERE!!!! POSITIVE REVIEW Speed: it's really fast, you dont even need both motors running in order for you to go fast, this thing is ridiculous fast. Up hills i can go up to 30mph, flat surfaces i go 37-38 mph even 40 in a full charged. Still fast even with the battery below 65%. Suspension: trust me, you won't feel any bump it feels like you're literally flying. VERY smooth. Brakes: you can always adjust it, it works pretty good for me. Weight: 61lbs kind of heavy but i carry mine up to 3 floors no elevator, which is not that hard for me. Folded dim.: i drive a honda accord and always put it in my trunk and still have space if i want to put anything else. Battery: I switch between dual motor and single motor everytime i ride it, and still get a lot of range. Lights: really bright any car in the dark will see you. NEGATIVE REVIEW To be honest i am very happy with my Mantis Base the things i do not like is Weight: i wish it was a lil bit lighter but i guess it has two motors and really fast which makes sense is a little heavy. The rear fender should be longer because when it rains or the surface is wet your pants can get dirty easily. Besides that i truly recommend it, it worth every dollar.
