“Not enough stars to rate this adventure but definitely believe me when I say it was the trip of a lifetime. Seeing the gorgeous, breathtaking sights that Canada had to offer, specifically in the Canadian Rockies - was only made possible due to the incredible guides Olivier and Jeremie.
Both of who were incredibly dedicated to ensuring our safety, mapped out routes, time keeping and gear to hike to these spots. They worked effortlessly as a team and brilliantly together in keeping our entire group and trip on track. They cooked all 3 course meals for the day fresh and from scratch and it was 10/10, delicious and plentiful. Snacks at every point throughout the day, help with setting up tents and camp, keeping us entertained but also providing an abundance of information about every view, mountain, lake and more.
The package did a brilliant job in covering some of the most beautiful spots worth seeing in the Rockies, and the option of additional extras like white water rafting and glacier hike was an added bonus. I did both and 1000% would recommend everyone give it a go. End of June is a great time to go for mild weather, before the tourist season hits. Pay close attention to the packing list as it does cover everything you need, and well worth renting the tent and sleeping bags from the company. Bring your own pillow though, and thermals for the cold nights. Bring a day pack to keep in the car and keep a rain jacket with you at all times.
The tour guides gave us a special surprise on the penultimate day with an incredible view point where we could see across the mountains as the sun set. They went above and beyond for this trip and I couldn't be more thankful to return with a lifetime of memories and friendships for life.
Alex has arranged some brilliant packages, with great customer service at every stage, from before the trip he answered my many questions in great detail and with reassurance as this was my first time ever camping and hiking - but I couldn't have asked for a better group and company to do it with. Book this trip - you will want to come back again and again.”
“I recently did the 7 day Rocky Mountain camping Adventure with my mother, it was our first time camping. The owner Alex was super easy to communicate with prior and afte rour tour, he answered any questions we had and helped arrange for us to be picked up at Banff on the first day of the tour. The guides Jeff and Cedric showed everyone how to set up camp, the equipment included quality tents, self inflating mattress pads and sleeping bags. The Jasper sky tram and Banff hot springs were included and there were also optional activities such as horse riding and white water rafting with Glacier White Water on the Kicking Horse River. We did both and would highly recommend the rafting. The guides were very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna and the history of the Rockies. If you have time in Banff prior or after the tour I would recommend checking out the Cave and Basin National Historic site as you learn about the history of it on the tour as well as the endangered snail that lives in the Banff springs, we really enjoyed visiting as it was super interesting. The food Jeff cooked was amazing and made with fresh ingredients, and catered to everyones dietary requirements. A future endeavour for Jeff could be a gourmet camping cookbook! We would definitely buy a copy. There was cheese fondu at the end of the first days hike which was divine. The van also had plenty of snacks and fresh fruit. Cedric was up super early every morning to make sure there was coffee ready. You can’t keep anything scented or food in the tents at night so make sure you have a seperate bag for toiletries you can keep in the van at night and grab in the morning. You can charge your phone in the van while driving but having a portable charger/battery pack would be useful. Bring a day pack that you can keep in the van and take on hikes with a water bottle, raincoat, a hat, sunscreen and bug spray, etc. You could bring a small towel if you are brave enough to swim in the glacier water. We are both really happy we chose Fresh Adventures and would definitely recommend the tour of The Rockies. What a great way to experience our first time camping. We saw glaciers, hiked mountains, walked up and under waterfalls, and encountered lots of squirrels, chipmunks, marmots and even saw 2 bears! Thanks Fresh Adventures and Jeff and Cedric. Maddy and Anna.”
“We had a very Fresh Adventure camping and hiking by Lake Louise, Golden and several other jaw dropping parks with our group last week. Sleeping in a tent for a week has never been so fun! Our guides Anthony and Ben bent over backwards to take care of us and make sure everyone was well fed, comfortable and happy. They were so knowledgeable about the area, camping and great cooks! The hard part will be narrowing down to the best pictures to keep from such a great week, especially since we were treated to the Northern Lights over our campsite the last night.”
“Banff and Golden are breathtaking and beautiful, but what made this trip even more unforgettable was having both Anthony and Melanie as our guides. They were attentive, accommodating, creative, fun, organized, personal, hard-working, positive, safe... All the attributes you would want in a tour guide. Anthony paid special attention to detail and cooked the most delicious meals on his grill. I ate everything on my plate :). Both wanted to surprise us with the best, most fun experiences the entire time.”
“My husband, daughter, and I had the best time on our tour of the Rockies with our guides, Louis and Marjolaine and our tour group. While we are a small family, the other participants were individuals—no couples, friends, or groups—from all over the world and from all walks of life. The tour was a great opportunity for us to come together for an unforgettable shared experience. The tour was slightly adjusted before we arrived because of fires in Jaspar, but that did not negatively impact our experience. Nor did the rain! We all came prepared with our waterproof gear and made the most of things. Marjolaine and Louis cooked amazing meals (ginger chicken, risotto, lots of veggies and salads, pancakes, and more) and allowed our daughter to help out. It was a participatory event, so groups were expected to take turns cleaning dishes, which I don't think everyone was prepared for—so be forewarned! We personally found it easy enough and a great opportunity to teach our daughter what it means to be part of a community even when we're away from home. Our guides were sincerely the kindest and most flexible/helpful people. We experienced rain, itinerary changes due to a fire, a road closure due to a traffic accident, and loads of mosquitos at our second campsite. They were upbeat, helpful, clear, considerate, and warm the entire time.”
“On the 7 day Rockies tour, Julien & Louis were honestly the best tour guides you could ask for! Approachable, friendly & knowledgeable - they honestly made the trip. When things out of their control went slightly wrong (accidents on the highway etc) they were extremely adaptable, came up with fantastic new plans that possibly worked better than the original, and you could really tell they enjoyed working to make it a trip the whole group could enjoy. Will definitely miss them both!”
