Haven’t had to use it a lot yet, it rained for about 3 days after I had it installed, which is a good thing.I’m wishing I had purchased the 30 metre one now, but that’s my mistake. I think it will be very handy especially it being retractable, no more winding up a hose or leaving it all over the lawn & path.”

“to tell you the truth I was a bit disappointed in the quality, especially of the hose itself, seems very cheap?plasticky? The hose hasn't been retracting properly either, it sticks with about a metre or so of hose left to go. I found that if i reel out about 4 metres of hose and let it retract at speed it's ok.I bought a 30m reel years ago and it has been brilliant, much more robust and higher quality hose.”

“When I was a kid, I would see ads for hoselink, and I'd think to myself, "when I get older, I'm gonna buy one of those, they look really well made." Well, I'm 44 and I finally bought one because I needed another hose reel. I purchased a 30m Gardena hose reel from the big green shed, amazing hose reel, retracts from the full 30m with absolutely no slacking or not winding back the full way, hose connectors are universal and the connectors that came with it are top quality. We needed another hose reel, so I thought, "I'll finally buy that hoselink one I've always wanted, I wonder how much better the quality is going to be than the Gardena one." Boy, what a let down. I'd just want to ad, I bought the Gardena one from the big green shed because I tested all the other brands there, Holman, Nylex, Pope and Garden Basics, and all of them didn't retract fully, there was a bit of mucking around to get them fully retracted, but even some of them wouldn't fully retract. That is the case with the Hoselink one. So much stuffing around to get it to retract. The materials used are thin and feel like they're not going to last too long. Now the connectors, I get the design, very good for not blowing out hoses, but I can only use Hoselink connectors with Hoselink connectors, I know there's an adaptor, but I've got a heaps better idea, make the connectors good quality like Gardena so there's no need for a specific connector. That'll save heaps of time and mucking around. Now the retracting action of Hoselink, absolute crud, on par with Holman, takes 2-3 goes to get it to retract fully, such a pain. Not worth the money.P.S. Hoselink gave me a free gift that I've received 3 emails to leave a review for, it's a rain gauge, it works well because it has no moving parts, it's a small, long cup with measurements on it, can't go wrong. Thanks for the "free" gift. Another suggestion for you, keep the free gift and put some money into making the retract action work properly. 1 star.”
“I now have five of these reels around a large garden. Only once had a nozzle split and Hoselink immediately replaced the item with a new one no cost no questions. Back up after sales service is fantastic. Thats the difference between a great company and just an also ran. Highly recommend..”
