“We live in Texas hill country which is hot and humid in the summer. We generally live in shorts and t-shirts when outside. The 2 biggest problems here are fire ants and chiggers. Now fire ants sting a bit and then itch a day or two later but chigger bites, cause at least a week of intense itching. Tired of having to use insect repellent sprays and lotions before going outside, we sent in a bunch of clothing to be treated because most of the insect treated clothes for sale are too heavy for this climate.
We treated a bunch shorts and t-shirts. Using myself as a guinea pig, I spent all day working in the yard wearing treated shorts and a treated t-shirt and sandals. Finished the day with NO bites. I have repeated this for over a week and haven't received one chigger bite. My wife got a couple of chigger bites on the one day she didn't wear the treated clothes. Lesson learned.
