“I really wanted to like this scent based on all the glowing reviews i've read here and other sources. Plus the ordering process was great, shipping fast and the box is so pretty!Perhaps, like some few other reviewers ventured to guess, this scent just doesn't work with my body chemistry. It did open up with very harsh bold sugar, berry and floral note. So much so that it was hard to handle, actually. Drying out, i did get very pleasant soft notes of vanilla and powders, but sadly that didn't last long.Within and hour or so all i could smell on me was soap and licorice. I'd say that licorice was an overly dominant note that just wold not quit on me. Even after the shower. Even the next morning. So, if you notice that some perfumes dry "spicy" on you, you may want to skip this one. I'll give another Al-Rehab scent a chance before i give up on the line altogether though.”
“It smells like the cotton candy scent of my childhood Summer fairs, mixed with a very warm vanilla scent, and yummy melted caramel. Definitely a gourmand scent. To me it smells better than the Pink Sugar fragrance and better than any vanilla scent from Bath & Body Works. Better than Parfum de Coeur's Cotton Candy body spray. It's extremely potent: even a drop is way too much on my skin. I only touch my wrist with the roller ball, rub my wrists together and that's enough for the scent to last 12 hours. (I'm female, I used my husband's account to comment)”
“On my skin it smells like a ton of real rose, not a perfume, but real roses, as if I just walked into an enclosed flower nursery with a million of roses in bloom. Unfortunately my skin chemistry bring out the waxy, oily after-scent (like castor oil left burning too long), that's not too bad, it's faint, but takes away from the rose top note. I only put a dab of the top of the rollerball to my wrist, not even a half-drop just a dab, and I rubbed my wrists together. It was fine the first 15 minutes or so, but around the 30 minute mark and after, the scent got soooo strong I didn't feel well at all and had to wash it off with soap. After washing the scent was manageable and remained for more than 6 hours. The scent is linear (the top note and the dry down are almost identical). Since it doesn't work very well with my skin chemistry, I'll just use it to scent my closet and drawers so everything smells like real roses. The price is fantastic for such a concentrated perfume oil. (I'm female, I used my husband's account to comment)”
