There is a delightful combination of scents and I was able to detect geranium (which smells great), and rose. The first ingredient is parfum (fragrance). I think there is a lot of disclosure missing from that first ingredient. The product page touts patchouli and I am so glad that I wasn't able to detect that because I am definitely not a fan of patchouli scent. Anyway, the incense is clumps of what looks like black coal and it is in a cellophane bag and It actually looks like there is moisture in it which is possibly from the added parfum. The bag of incense is in a plastic jar and I was a bit surprised that it was plastic since the retail price at the time of this review is around $35 USD for 50 grams. It does smell great and I keep it at my desk for when I want a little pick me up. The scent is quite strong and lovely. I just wish I knew exactly what is included in the parfum.Made in UAE.

This sounded interesting. However, I don’t care for the scent. It is so strong. I thought it would be like wood chip size but it’s a finer product, almost like powder. The scent is almost like grandma. Others may like it and maybe if my house was bigger it wouldn’t be so overpowering.

My daughter said that the incense was unusual, lightly floral, not spicy. She used it on charcoal and said it burned much too fast and was gone in just a couple of minutes, with a large amount going up in a puff of smoke. She is going to buy an electric heater/ burner and said she would rerate after she had tried it that way. She liked the scent before burning it but said it was just an intense cloud burned on charcoal. Still she liked it well enough to rate it four stars, until she can try it in a way that it burns slower (if that is possible).

I have never used this Muattar Al Wattan incense from Swiss Arabian before, this was a new fragrance for me.I burn incense often, mostly Japanese and Indian. I don't buy the synthetic, cheap stuff, either. Not too much the past few years, but I used to burn Frankincense and such on charcoal. This incense from Swiss Arabian has great presentation. The box is wrapped in a non-porous cellophane, this is important as it is not porous, it is helping to keep the incense fresh, and also keep the fragrance in the box. After removing that wrapping, I could smell the incense, and I was already thinking this was going to be a floral type of incense.Opening the cardboard box, there is a plastic jar there. At this price point, I'm surprised the jar isn't glass. Within the plastic jar, is a sealed plastic bag of incense. I am unsure why the incense is packed in this porous plastic, instead of a cellophane of similar quality to that the outer-box is wrapped in.After burning a number of pieces of this incense here and there, in my experience this stuff will smoke up fast, and burn out fast, however the aroma released will linger for quite a while. The incense description reads that it has Saffron, Lemon, Plum , Geranium, Cedarwood, Rose, Myrrh, Patchouli, and Musk notes. What I notice most, is the Rose and I am guessing the Geranium. The rest of the notes here, I don't detect much, or at all. This incense's aroma reminds me of a particular Jasmine incense I've purchased that has a strong floral scent. So, the first thoughts I had after using some of this incense, is that it reminds me of Jasmine and Rose. This incense is OK, it does really saturate an area with it's aroma, and that aroma lingers. However, the aroma is not what I expected based on the description here.

This seems to be a very strong fragrance incense. It comes in chunk form with some crushed wet powdered as well. Came sealed up in a bag inside a plastic container. A little bit goes a long ways. (The container is quite large compared to the amount of incense that’s actually in it.). I use the charcoal disc to burn this incense on. Works very well. Has a very nice fragrance overall. In my personal opinion the rose fragrance is definitely the strongest. Personally this is a drawback for me as I’d prefer the other fragrances to come out more. The smell is such a personal thing so others may absolutely love this. Others may even notice other fragrances more. The rose fragrance tends to give me somewhat of a headache personally, but that seems to be common with lots of rose fragrances. I would say this is a very high-quality incense. Give it a try.

This is a rather pricy incense but it is exquisite. It doesn't have a any chemical or 'faux' smell to it. No burning or char scent either. This has a nice long burn that over time changes in smell. It is a very nice complement to a home or relaxation area for meditation.
