“Most of the time, I find that fragrances tend to not be strong enough for me, and also dissipate rather quickly over time. To my pleasant surprise, I'm a believer in this scent. It is strong, intense, fragrant, powerful, yet very pleasing to the senses at the same time.I have a tealight incense burner, that allows me to put the fragrant wood chips on top of a metal plate, with a tealight burning underneath for heat. The tealight lasts about 4 hours, and during that entire time there is a wonderful oud aroma that permeates the room. Even after the tealight flame goes out, I can still smell fragrance coming from the chips throughout the day. Also, the chips do "smoke" a little initially, like an incense stick would, even though they are not in direct contact with a lit flame. Interesting. There are a lot of different ways that these scents can be utilized; however, an instruction book or pamphlet is missing or not included as part of the retail box packaging. Thus, it's a good idea to know how you are going to use them before purchasing. The online description is fairly thorough.The unit is nicely packaged in a retail box, and the scents are sealed in plastic before opening. According to the box, these are the ingredients: Parfum (fragrance), dipropylene glycol, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, hydyroxycitronellal, linalool, alpha isomethyl ionone, eugenol, benzyl cinnamate, butylphenyl methylpropional, limonene, citral, isoeugenol, coumarin, benzyl alcohol, amyl cinnamal, benzyl benzoate. Although there is a lot going on here, in the way of ingredients, my quick research finds most of them to be generally safe, non-toxic and common in fragrance and cosmetic type products. Long term use can cause allergic reactions in some people. Although there is no warning on the package, other than "Keep out of Reach of Children", I would avoid touching the chips directly with your skin, and/or wash your hands immediately if you do.
