So I am fan of keto and have been in a loose version of it since before Covid. I really had no idea about my glucose levels, but I could tell when I was in ketosis by my breath and I lost a lot of weight that I was wanting to release. This is a whole new game! I could possibly be insulin resistant I’m not sure but this little meter is going to help me figure it out. I am trying all sorts of different things and seeing what affects my glucose level, but I have yet to get it into the optimal range. It is good and occasionally in the concern range, but mostly in the good range but not optimal. I’m realizing that glucose levels are extremely important and can indicate inflammation. Inflammation is something we are all wanting to avoid with our diet. So many things affects glucose. Sleep, stress, exercise, or lack there of, and of course, sugar, etc., but I don’t even do that . So to put it mildly, I’m geeking out with this GKI meter.

These strips, as well as the Keto-Mojo tester, have been a game changer for me on my journey of reversing (very successfully!) my Diabetes. I have been able to, with the use of these daily, keep my ketone production up, and my blood sugar down. Much appreciated!

The glucose readings are all over the place. Even between hands I've had as much as 10 -15 points difference at the same time. Relative to the cgm (Libre3) readings it is highly variable. Sometimes it's similar other times it is 10 - 30 points different. I acknowledge they use a different kind of measurement and can't really be "compared". Regardless, the high level of variability (with or without considering a cgm) of the readings makes using the KetoMojo quite frustrating and not very useful for glucose readings. The ketone reading seems to be okay. And the app is useful. It would be more useful if a glucose reading could be manually added to a ketone reading.

These strips are easy to use and provide valuable data for someone trying to improve their metabolic health. Knowing how my body reacts to the food I eat and the fasts I do by providing my glucose and ketone levels in real time, allows me to make the changes needed to prevent diabetes.
