“Came faster than expected. The videos are great - explains things at an encouraging, basic level while not being patronizing or feeling like you’re joining a cult.
While visually attractive and appealing, the emails and resulting links can be a bit “busy” - you’re not sure where to go or if you’ve seen everything.”
“I was very excited about this upgrade. The original was phenomenal, but i was having syncing issues with my iPhone SE. Unfortunately, I still have fat fingers; this is a problem because the test strips are more difficult to remove from their individually-wrapped packages. The first one, I accidentally tore in half. The second went ok. They are also more flexible— which makes it more difficult to put to the meter all the way. I’ve bent a few. I’m also not thrilled at the device you use to put the lancets in and draw blood. It’s more difficult to see where the adjustable cap attaches. Good think I kept the old one. The worst part is I still have syncing issues. I can upload data, but need to restart the app to see what I imported from the device.
But hey...it seems to do the job if you can adjust to its particular quirks.”
“Your new meter leaves a lot to be desired in terms of feel and operation over the old one which was excellent. Also, the reading vary between the devices, especially measuring glucose... 75 new meter vs 94 on old for instance. Ketones closer, .5 new vs .6 old. Today it was reversed, glucose 105 new vs 106 old and Ketones, .4 new vs. .2 old. The new pouch skimped on space and isn't large enough or as well designed as the old one as everything 'crunches' together when closed and there isn't really room for extras like my great Genteel lancing device. The new one has one plus, a harder shell to protect the contents. Also, the old device was much easier to insert and expel strips from. The new one takes more pressure to insert which makes a difference when using one hand since the other holds blood for testing. Also, the 'expel slide' was ridged and on the side and was easy to use where the new one is slick and on the bottom, the worst and actually useless as I find it easier to just pull the old strips out by hand on the new device. The new strips are also more opaque and hard to see if they are taking up blood where the old ones were easy to do this with. I didn't notice a hematocrit reading on the new one yet... oh well. Overall , it seems to me that this was a business decision that really didn't consider the customer which surprises me frankly since I've always liked your service and customer relations in the past. This was a big minus. I take it you won't be supporting the old device any longer? I'd rather pay you something and keep it and use the new 'degraded' vs improved model as a spare. I still have lots of good test strips.”
“NICE! I have found this upgraded meter kit to be a FANTASTIC upgrade! I appreciate the need for a smaller blood sample to run the tests, and that each test strip is sealed in it's own little pouch for sterility and safety! And the app has been such a time saver for me! THANK YOU KETO MOJO!!!”
