“First off Keto-Mojo is great! I’ve been very happy with the info they provide and the meter. I really appreciate the Trade-Up deal and recycle.
A lot of what I write next is what I’d like to deem “constructive criticism, but it may sound complainy.
The new meter is good, although it seems slow, and I don’t understand why I can’t seem to be able to choose the mmol units for glucose like I could with the old meter. Or maybe I just don’t know the procedure yet.
The App seems very slow in my iPhone 11 plus max. Each touch seems to take 4-5 seconds to respond. Maybe it’s just me and my phone.
I’m not a fan of the individually packaged test strips, seems wasteful and takes more work to do a test. Although I do like that it’s less bulky in the carrying case, and that the new meter came with a carrying case.
Overall pretty happy with Keto-Mojo and the Meter Kit.”
“I bought a new Keto Mojo meter in October 2020. 3 weeks later I was told it was obsolete and I could trade it in for a new meter. Ironically, I
Had switched to keto mojo from Caretouch because they discontinued their strips. Great.
Fast forward that I buy this meter, and I assume I can just open the app that I have and sync it. Like a new Fitbit. Nope. The new meter comes with 4 instruction books but not one that tells you how to sync it. I finally scanned the QR code and despite what it told me would appear on the screen... it didn’t. It kept showing “beep,” and I couldn’t get past that screen. It was beyond frustrating. It took me over an hour to finally sync the meter.
Then it’s time to use the meter. The new strips come individually wrapped and look like tiny condom packages. Cool. But they are a nightmare to rip open. And you can’t tell up from down so when you rip it open the part that you touch could be the part that inserts in the meter or the part that collects the drop of blood. Also, I am fairly dexterous and don’t have a problem opening packages... imagine an elderly person dealing with this. When you finally rip the package open.. the strips are flimsy which makes them difficult to insert.
I understand the goal is to make the strips less expensive but... to have to trade in my 3 week old meter and give up the strips in favor of this, just feels crappy.
I am a moderator in an online health forum, and this meter was brought up ... I am not alone in giving it a low rating.”
