“I hate it. It took many tries to get a reading from the new meter. The testing strips are a pain because: 1. individual wrapping is hard to tear open 2 the strips are touchy with sucking up a blood sample 3 if the blood suck isn't done correctly the meter dosn't show that by any code or means. The GKI calculation is off by a tenth of a point it seems. I use Carb Manager to track my meals and macros and the calculator there is always one-tenth of a point different that this meter. What gives? PLUS why can't I order extra needles through the app instead of just extra strips? I'm not sure my local Pharmacy carries these. It would be nice if the app integrated with either Carb Manager and/or Fitbit. That's a minor whine compared to the other issues I've had. I almost didn't return the old meter, but I was running out of strips and the costs of the strips for the old meter was getting outrageous. The main reason for changing was that the maintenance costs of test strips seemed more reasonable. Will go online and see if needles are offered for purchase. Thanks for asking.”
