“I did the trade-up and was a little disappointed that you have free shipping for other things in your store, but are charging $10 for the trade-up. I am also disappointed in the whole “you can’t use you old one on the website tracking” thing. We have some strips left over on our old one that we want to use up before moving over to the new one and the strips are not cheap. You act like people are out to screw you all and somehow make some money with the old one. Give your faithful customers the benefit of the doubt.”
“Love this new unit for ketones, however only 3 stars because glucose monitoring inconsistent and inaccurate. I use a different dedicated glucose meter and was hoping to switch to a single meter for both ketones and glucose. This meter was consistently 30-45 mg/dl higher than my current glucose meter. This translated into an A1C of 6.5, when i know my A1C was actually 5.4. Additionally, i did multiple tests using the same finger at the same time point and there was a 15 mg/dl difference between readings. Again great for ketones.”
“Initially gave a one-star review because of some problems I had, mostly with the strips. Got in touch with support, who informed me that there were some problems with the sample strips that came with the kit, and urged me to try the ones that came in the separate box. Those seem to be working much better, so I'm willing to give them a try. There are still some things that I'm not crazy about in terms of design of the lancing device and the meter, but the big issue was the strips, and I hope that's resolved. They also credited me for the wonky strips. I'm holding back one star for now, though, until I make sure that the new lot of strips works well. If they do, I'll add the fourth star. I am pleased that the company was willing to work with me to fix any problems, but as someone who has taught business communication for almost 20 years, I do think they spend a little too much time telling customers why they're wrong when they find something inconvenient about the product. If something doesn't work for me, I don't care if it works for 99.9% of other customers. They may not have the same requirements or priorities that I do. Sometimes, it's better to just say, "I'm sorry you feel that way; let's see if we can fix the problem."”
“Glucose strips work sporadically. Hard to open packages. Not worth the trade up but forced to by unavailability of old strips. Don't like this method of forcing people to change to new products.”
