“Although I liked the older model better I am going to keep using the meter. I find it more difficult to get strips ready and I’m surprised that the readings are so different.”
“Everything about this “upgrade” is a reason to discontinue giving this company business. The other meter was more attractive and easier to use. The individually wrapped test strips for this new meter are horrible. And if you have big fingers you may just break these new strips because they’re cheaper and of lesser quality. I understand making them and your product more affordable but you did it at the cost of so much. At once your product was the defining product for Keto dieters but now your product is an absolute time consuming agony to use. I dread it now, used to kind live for it. If you’re going to make a switch like this, can’t you make both models available? I would guess and bet money on it that there would be more people like myself who would gladly pay more for everything they had with the previous model. If not, then in the very least, please...strips in a container.”
“Very frustrated after watching videos online around keto mojo. I purchased it and a bunch of glucose straps and not as many keto straps. Then I get a message on the app for an upgrade within a few weeks of purchasing, then after a few weeks I am running low on supplies and look to restock. NO LUCK, NOT AVAILABLE. Only the new sticks are available forcing me to upgrade, I order it and my first glucose strip says eat you are hypoglycemic but I feel fine and use and old strip in the old meter and its fine. So of course I waste a glucose strip with the testing fluid and its normal. To be honest I am passed off”
“I only purchased because I couldn’t get cheap strips anymore but hey, it’s got Bluetooth!
The strips are much harder to handle-strips don’t always make a good connection to turn on the light. I feel like I’m touching the business end of the strip more than before when strips were in the canister.
Let’s talk about the app. I haven’t dug into it but it feels like a couple web pages shipped in an app. It feels alien on iOS. I don’t know why it forces me to sync rather than just syncing at app opening or switching to by default. So many touches and waiting just to get results. I should be in and out in under 15 seconds unless I choose to linger on my charts”
“The new meter gives virtually identical reading to the previous version (reassuring), is just as easy to use, comes in a better case. I like that the readings can upload to my iphone. The recycling was easy (post-paid envelope).”
“I don’t like the eject button location at all, I have to use 2 hands to eject the strip. It is almost impossible to do it with just one hand. Also I don’t like how you have to push the eject button forward before you put in a new strip. The first gen meter’s eject button on the side was perfect so not sure why you felt the need to change that and move it to the bottom of the meter. Also on the first gen meter you didn’t have to use the eject button to put in a new strip.”
