The new meter is fine. The only difference I see is the bluetooth to the phone, which is Ok, but not necessary for me. The main thing I do not like is the new packaging for the test strips, it's awful; hard to rip open, impossible to tear the material if ripped in the wrong corner / not far enough down on the length of the package, and hard to remove strips. Add a cut line or something to remove the packaging so the test strip is easy to remove.

I have only had it a little over a week and so far I am very happy with my purchase. It is helpful to know my levels, especially my glucose. It is easy and fast to use and the app is really great.

I love the new meter, but I hate the packaging for the strips. They are hard to get open. I liked the bottle much better.

This has been a game changer and huge motivator to help me stick to my diet! Being able to see real concrete evidence of how different foods affect my body has helped me immensely make good choices and stay on track. And after many many months of trying, I am finally losing weight!!

Because of the way the strips are packaged in foil it is easy to damage the strip when you open the wrapper. We have 2 of the new GK+ meters and have wasted at least 6 or seven strips so far. The old meter was easier and cheaper. Also you can't keep track of two people on one meter and record your data on the app.( thus the reason for two meters in one house).

As an owner of the original meter, I have been very happy with it's performance over the years. I decided to upgrade as the "Upgrade Kit" pricing was just too good to pass up. Unfortunately the new GK+ Meter that came in the upgrade kit had problems and caused me to question my decision to upgrade. The customer support staff at Keto-Mojo made it right in short order by quickly getting me a new replacement GK+ meter and I'm happy to say it's working perfectly. Very happy now with the decision to upgrade and the customer support staff service was stellar...!

New strips require less blood. Never had an issue with the new strips. The lancing device is better too. I believe the length of the puncture is more accurate. Just a cosmetic comment: The new case is very nice and protects the system much better than the other one. Overall this product is a great upgrade. I am happy I chose to recycle my old system. I know it is not easy to design or upgrade a new system. Great job!!

Just started using the new GK+ meter (about 2 weeks?) after a few months with the previous model. I did get used to the "old way" pretty fast and, except that I still don't like sticking myself with sharp objects, the whole process has been straightforward. (I'm Keto, not diabetic - all new) This meter feels much like the previous one and even easier in some ways such as the Bluetooth transfer of data to my iPhone app. The only real stumbling-block so far are the newly packaged test strips in their pain-in-the-butt foil sealed packs. I have always tried to handle the strips carefully with minimum touching, etc., but the new ones require forceful manhandling, random ripping, and often dragging the strip out - finally! These strips also feel much more flexible - flimsy? - and I can't watch the actual blood draw as I could before. And the blood draw seems to take longer but, then again, I just can't see it. Maybe... Anyway, I am still getting used to the new meter and so far, so good. No real deal-breakers, yet!
