“I really like the new meter and the individually packaged strips. They are very convenient for all aspects of life. The carrying case is a big improvement over the previous one.
I would like to see something done to make opening the strips packaging easier. It is quite difficult to do without fear of damaging the strip inside. I have found its easier to use scissors to open it enough to use. Additionally, inserting the strip in the meter without touching the capillary tip is a challenge. I find I have to use the foil pouch it came in to get a positive contact without touching the tip.
I would recommend making the control test process a bit clearer in the manual. I was mistakenly thought the table of values in the manual was the comparison table, totally skipped the part that its on the label of the box the strips come in.”
“The meter its self is ok, although the ejection button is not in a user friendly place the TD-4279 was much more friendly to use, and the test strip are a bit of a pain in the butt to get out of the wrappers. the display is better, easier to see and I do like the Bluetooth and app makes my life a bit easier.”
“To be honest, I was looking forward to this upgrade. I am disappointed. Not nearly as use friendly as the model before it.. the readings I got couldn’t have been accurate and I’ve used the solutions provided to make sure my meter was accurate, which wasn’t easy to figure out.
It also took using 10 valuable BG and Ketones strips which are now individually wrapped..
sadly, I think it’s a cash grab. Nothing has really changed. They just made it more difficult if anything and for me, less accurate and more expensive.
I wish I could keep my old one but I have a feeling they’re phasing it out and at the same time making the strips for it more and more expensive so it doesn’t make sense not to upgrade...
