“I am very disappointed with your new meter for the following reasons:
1. During the setup process there is no option to go back to the previous step to correct entry.
2. Glucose is measured in mg/dL, however, in Canada, it is in mmol/L. There is no option to choose the unit of measure. As this is the new improved meter it should be considered.
3. Strips are packaged individually and it is very hard to take them out.
I was using TD-4279 meter for a few years and was very happy with it. I wish I could continue to use it, however, there is a message that the strips for it are discontinued.”
“It works as well as the old one. The bells and whistles are nice but not worth having to buy a new meter when I had no problems with the old one, except test strips are not available.”
“The strips are individually packaged. You can't tear the package open, you must find scissors and cut. You must insert the strip into the machine and then somehow drop blood onto the end of the strip. I ended up getting blood on the machine. I kept getting error readings, had to use 3 strips to get a result. This is nowhere as easy to operate as the original device. On the up side, it was very easy to return the old device for recycling.”
