Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“It has taken me a while to decide which size was most comfortable, 4 pairs later I made a choice. In the end my shoe size was the size I kept, which also gave me room for a thick sock. Wore them tonight for Bonfire Night Feet were lovely and toasty, Flexible soft rubber, very comfortable. Will be testing them out on the next rainy dog walk. Fast delivery too. Hope returning the other wellies will be straight forward. If these wellies last for years I will be a very happy lady. It this happens I will remain product loyal.”

“Very comfortable and warm, if you have thinner lower legs the gusset is a bit baggy (so when the strap is tightened it creates a bit of puffiness at the top) but thick socks solve the problem. The rubber is flexible so they are very comfortable. The colour (marron) is beautiful. I am 5ft in height and the height of the boot is good. Very pleased with them.”

“Brilliant wellies! I wear a size 5 shoe but size 6 in walking boots and wellies as I usually wear a thick walking sock, so went straight for the size 6 after reading other reviews. I have worn them every day for a week. Thick walking socks are too hot, so am now wearing thin cotton socks and trying to get used to a looser fit. The ankle is well shaped so the boot does not feel insecure and the boot does not get dragged off. The rubber is so soft, flexible, and lightweight that my feet and legs do not feel tired after a 5 mile dog walk in woods and fields. I have walked in all weathers and conditions and the traction on all terrains has been brilliant, I have not slipped once. Will definitely never buy another brand again, these are excellent. You get what you pay for, thank you.”
