Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I had to replace my Chasseur boots. The thinner gusset behind the zip is prone to splitting at the ankle where it creases. Not great for a "waterproof" boot that costs �0! They were out of their two year warranty. Le Chameau do not offer a repair service. I was advised to use glue which didn't work. So if you're not wading regularly, you may not notice this defect developing until the warranty has expired. I was at least offered a replacement pair at a discount.”

“These boots were recommended by an Irish vet who spends a lot of time outside! They were a special present ordered for my Dad's 80th birthday from the whole family. He wears wellies every day but would never spend so much on himself. These boots are exceptional quality, super comfortable and warm. Dad is absolutely thrilled with them.”
