Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“First pair arrives in an extreme size so had to return. Took two months to find pair in size we wanted, ordered, when arrived were faulty/quality issues with lining so had to send back.”

“Shopping experience was great. But all of it dilutes by the quality of the boot once it arrived. I was looking forward to wearing them but I believe they were possibly a bad batch as the leather lining was dull and felt like a wet suit. Really annoying. Heard great things about them too. Shame I was sent the pair I was as I purchased the top end in terms of price.”

“I have had a pair of neoprene lined boots for ten years and have always been very pleased with them. I decided to have leather lined as the replacement and am extremely pleased I did as the new boots are superb. I can appreciate the justification for the greater cost.”
