Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“definitely negative review. two days after placing the order and paying, I receive an e-mail stating that they cannot ship to Italy, so they cancel the order. perhaps it was better not to give the opportunity to purchase at all !!!”

“I've had a pair of these boots for 10 years and they were perfect but tired and needed to be replaced. I bought some from a different supplier last year and they did not have neoprene in the inside heel area. The boots gave me terrible blisters despite trying different combinations of socks/liners etc. I thought perhaps they were faulty so ordered new ones from Le Chameau website. Unfortunately, these were the same with no neoprene in the heel area so I returned them. Customer Services advised me that the design was changed a couple of years ago to provide a better grip in the heel area. Please bring back the original design and I'll buy some more.”

Hi, Thank you for getting in touch and taking the time to leave a review. After a small handful of reviews mentioned that the heel cup was not working for them in terms of blistering - we took this issue to the product development team and I am pleased to let you know we are currently in the trialling stage of a different heel cup. I have arranged for one of our care products to be shipped out to you - this silicone solution can be applied to the heel cup and used to alleviate some of the tackiness of the rubber, causing the rubbing.
