Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Le Chameau boots have gone downhill in the past 3 years. The rubber has got thinner, the soles and toes are no longer reinforced and the colouring has changed (very slightly). I will see how long they last but I have heard from 3 or 4 other people that Le Chameau boots have deteriorated in quality and that's my experience as well. Not worth the £250.”

The Rubber will never be as soft as it is when you first receive them, as due to it being a natural product it will harden over time. Best wishes,

“Women's size is out of stock so was advised by customer service (excellent by the way) to try the men's with a slightly different fit and 1/2 size smaller as a lot of women do this. Boots have only been worn twice but are superb, very comfortable and easy to get on and off. Looking forward to years of wear.”

“Fabulous boot, I have had a variety of others and most definitely the most comfortable. You end up wearing them at every opportunity. I bought a size 11 as I am a size 11 in all other shoes and boots. However with these I need either thicker or extra pair of socks. If I bought them again I think I’d go one size down. But as for quality and looks. Can’t fault them and would definitely recommend and well worth the price.”
