Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“This is my third pair of Le Chameau wellies. During the winter months they are worn for six or so hours each day so are well used….I have found each pair has lasted me six or seven years which I consider exceptional given how much I wear them. While I consider there is no better Wellington boot available I do feel this latest pair is not as sturdy or heavy as previous pairs I’ve owned. Already I’m noticing they do not seem as warm. As such I feel unable to give a five star review. Time will tell how long they last but based on previous pairs I’d certainly recommend these boots. Delivery from Le Chameau was very fast, and returns processed in 24 hours. I cannot fault the service offered.”

“Great company- the boots arrived in a couple of days and I had to exchange them as I got the size wrong - they were exchanged almost by return of post! And the boots are fantastic”
