Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Exactly what I ordered, last pair lasted 5 years of tough walking and horses stomping on them so hopefully these will do the same....Very quick delivery from dpd.”

“Received the wellies really quickly. They looked great, tried them in, the feet fitted but the part of the wellies around my calves were soooooo tight, literally nit.5 if a mm spare. Called the comapny, very polite staff, told me that I should have measured my calves. There are no measurements for wellies on the site. Guided me to the wellies for bigger calves. My wellies were there. Called the company back as wanted to check that I was not ordering the same size back. Was told that they did not sell my wellies in bigger calf sizes, they were however clearly displayed in that section. I quizzed the staff member and just went round snd round in circles with no resolution. I think the wellies are great quality, however the info on their website leaves a lot to be desired and is quite misleading”

Hi Rob, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - I am sorry you didn't find our conversation to be helpful. As discussed these boots have a calf circumference of 44cm in your size, which is greater than our standard fitting of 41cm - thus making them a wider calf boot. These measurements are all available on each individual product page, in our size guides. These boots will appear under several headings on our site such as all boots, tall boots, neoprene lined etc. I can see you have returned the boots for a full refund, should you want any more advice on sizing please do call us prior to ordering and we will be happy to help. “Light and with good grip. However, the heels are unlined and as a result cause constant blisters. Paying £150 for a pair of boots which it would have cost 50 pence to make comfortable is galling.”
