Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The feel of them is just amazing, used to wellies having 'stiffer' rubber and then that causes creases which wear away into splits, whereas these feel so malleable, so are comfier to wear and can imagine they'll have greater longevity. I bought a 7 which is my normal size and they're snug with thick socks, but the size 8 was a jump up too much, so I would say the sizing is accurate.”

“Don’t think the wellies were checked over before sending them out. The liner in the foot of the boot had been glued down wrongly leaving it with a ridge which was uncomfortable. These have been returned, waiting for a replacement”

“I loved the boots in terms of colour and obvious quality and was very disappointed that I could not keep them. They are a slightly too narrow fit which did not accommodate my bunions. I would be delighted if the Giverny boots came in a wider (or deeper) fit for such feet as mine!”
