Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These wellingtons are the best I've ever bought. The rubber is so soft and the lining feels really cosy. They are so comfortable to wear, I walk for miles in them. So far they?ve proved completely waterproof and the fit is true to size.”

“The worst wellies I have ever put on my feet. Absolutely awful to walk in. Now I know why guns take so long to walk to their pegs! I was slipping and sliding just walking down a track. I felt every stone underfoot and every bit of impact. A short walk with the dogs resulted in pain in my ankles and calves for days. I couldn?t wait to get home and take them off but I couldn?t walk at my usual pace. There's no doubting that they feel comfortable when you try them on and that they are still as warm as my last pair of Le Chameau approximately 20 years ago. Sadly the performance and comfort when actually using them for the intended purpose is not the same. tried them on and couldn?t wait to try them out. I expected from their description and reviews that these were going to be the most comfortable wellies I'd ever owned. Now I'm �0 down and still wearing my old disintegrating pair of Hunters with no desire to ever wear the Le Chameau again. I carried on trying to wear them after no resolution was offered only resulting in me disliking them more with every step. The only positives I can find is that they are the best fit I've ever found on ankle and calf so it's even more frustrating that they are so uncomfortable when walking that I just can?t bring myself to keep trying to wear them.”
