Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Disappointed that the last pair only lasted about 3 years which considering the price was not impressive. Then this new pair don;t feel as comfortable as the old but more importantly they feel bigger so I shall have to get some insoles - I always wear 38s and I know 37 will be too small but these just do not feel as good at all.”

I am so sorry to hear that your boots did not last longer. May I suggest a few care tips to help you to give your new pair a much longer life? Please wash them regularly with a sponge and soapy water to keep the mud from degrading the rubber. It is worth investing in some rubber protection spray and giving them a spray every now and again to keep the natural rubber fresh and well-fed. Please make sure that you use a boot jack to take them on and off (or pull carefully - never kick them off), and please store in a warm, dry place in an upright position.
