“Have several of these (cigar man), and they all have same issue…getting out of the lighter for refills. Getting in is hard, but out is near impossible. I have to use needle nose pliers.
Issue on all of my inserts.

“I have both the soft flame with the flint wheel and the soft flame with the electric ignitor. Both are great but the valve on the soft flame with the flint wheel leaks gas out of the jet as the hinge operates the gas valve.
I am going to try and fix it with a high temp silicon o-ring and tweak the tension on the valve arm so it applies more pressure on the o-ring when the hinge is closed.
I also have multiple Zippo cases and the variations in the case stampings means some inserts needed a little filing depending on what case I assigned to them.
There is a little lip on the hinge end where the clear tank and chrome body joint up on the inserts which can catch on the Zippo's hinge and get the insert stuck. Don't be a MUPPET and just jam your new insert into you old Zippo case and then cry about getting the insert jammed in there. Also don't spill alcohol/spirits on the tank as it will instantly craze and leak worse than a sieve lol.
