“I purchased this drive to replace a tired 750GB hard drive in a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I followed the installation instructions from the “Questions and Help” link on the Macfixit site - it was simple.
The laptop performance is significantly improved (boot startup from 2min to 30secs and program load times 30secs+ to 5secs).
One thing I will add is; be sure to purchase the special tools prior to undertaking the replacement as they don’t come with hard drive as some internet reviews might suggest.”
