“This savory beef with ample gravy has the true authentic flavor of German Sauerbraten and we should know because my husband's Mom came from Germany and taught us how to make it properly. Indeed, for years we did take the time to marinate the beef for at least 3-4 days before cooking it and adding crushed gingersnaps to the gravy, but now late in life, we no longer do. Thus, this is a super find! This week we dining on it with sides of red cabbage & potato pancakes instead of the usual spaetzle which we'd prefer, but couldn't find in our market. Actually, this was such a treat that perhaps we should order another to keep on hand in our freezer for whenever the craving hits us!”
