I was suspicious of the price, up until I had an REI Credit fall into my lap, and bringing the cost within my risk tolerance.
Would I pay $80 for one again..? No, but they are very nicely made and the presentation impressive. What leaves me with any bad taste in my mouth is it’s Made in China, and that just doesn’t settle very well with me these days!
I want to see Made in USA for my full endorsement.”
“Update: Merlin offered to replace the hat and make the issue right. Good customer service goes a long way!
Hat was built with great materials but at $65 for a hat you'd expect it to be put together straight. The "bill" or "visor" was sown on about 5 degrees off. So when that was straight all the lines in the cap were crooked and not lined up on your head. I would hope the quality control team would catch that.
