My experience with all of the Bancroft RC Boats has been wonderful. They have excellent detail and the RC controls work extremely well. I have actually purchased the Bancroft boats for display because of their excellent detail. My interaction with MotionRC has been one of the best that I have experienced on the internet over the years. Quick to respond to questions, quick to ship, and first rate at resolving any issue. I thoroughly enjoy the videos of the product that I watch before placing any order. James is great! Thank you MotionRC!!

Haven't had it yet; and, am unlikely to.Your product looks truly awesome; but, it too, possesses many flaws.(i.e.): 1. The railinga overall are incorrect, and incomplete. 2. The torpedo-tubes are misproportioned: and, too high.3. The paint scheme looks great, too great. But, not great or accurate enough.4. In your video of same running in the water; she rides like the vessel is full forward & empty aft.5. No assembly required; that's absolutely "no assembly required ". That's not a good thing.6. This is a very expensive toy; and, that's exactly what it is, a toy. True satisfaction is accomplished by the willful workings of ones' own hands.Good luck; but, I'm not impressed. Of course, I'm a hobbyist; and, a longtime veteran of the sea.

Does anyone know if there will be a 1/72 scale WW2 Japanese destroyer from Bancroft? I can't seem to get onto the chat line.

I feel this is the deal of the decade. All my life I have wanted a detailed large WWII warship but I knew it would take me years to build one. Now I have one on display in our office at BSI the day after I received it.The lack of instructions for the rigging was of some concern but that ended up being a relatively easy effort with the help of a Motion RC video. I had plans to weather the ship, but it looks so good out of the box that my only modification will be adding the number 557 for the USS Johnston, which played a major part in the greatest story of combat bravery from WWII.

I got my decals from Callie Graphics. They look great and fill in the naked bow. "Fletcher" runs across the stern and the ship's number 445 on the stern as well port and starboard. I painted the firefighting applicators molded on the bulkheads red as well as the retaining bar that keeps the firehoses in place. The hoses were painted an off white to represent wear. For the 5 inch gun muzzles, I took a toothpick dabbed in flat black and filled the in. For the side navigation lights, I painted the mounts in flat black. The red and green side lights stand out so much better. Lastly for the paint, I painted the navigators balls. A magnetic compass is mounted on the platform on the number two stack. One last thing, I put signal flags on the port bridge rigging that spell my wife's name. They look good so stop laughing.

The vessel performs well. I don't plan to change anything save installing a higher capacity battery and finding hull markings. I need draft numbers and hull numbers. Waiting for Callie Graphics to provide them.

I received my USS Fletcher about 3 months ago and have been admiring ever since. A bit pricy but worth it. Makes an outstanding beautiful display model, conversation piece, and fun to just sail arround the local lake. I had to add about 3 to 4 pounds of ballast to get her to cg and draft properly. The electronics are good and havent had any issues. Range is good also and have yet to loose controll due to any range issues.I lightly weathered mine, added flags and and a scale deck crew to give her some life and added a working smoke stack smoke system similiar to the Heng Long tanks.Highly recommend for any rc or display ship lover.

Very pleased with the purchase and would do it again. The detail is exquisite and offers modelers a boat load of opportunities for further enhancing and detailing. Good scale to work with at 1/72.
