Old gear was hanging up when retracted. Replacement solved the problem. Only negative is that they seem to be a bit under powered slightest resistance will hang them up. Also wires are a bit short for the Freewing 1400mm P-51.

No issues here, removed old pin from my damaged retact. It would be nice if they put that pen under the spare parts option.

Other reviews stated short wires, my replacements are the perfect length. My originals were broken when I missed our paved runway and touched down in the dirt. Between the speed, weight of the plane, and the soft dirt on the edges of our runway, it was too much for the plastic housings to bear. While installing these replacements I made new pins to connect to the struts out of 4mm music wire. One thing, one of them when open is tight (no slack), and the other has some play (slop). I could probably disassemble and adjust this, but I won't (shouldn't have to).The price on these is quite acceptable, but hope I don't have to buy anymore.

I 12ided to replace the original on my FW IronAss because it had hundreds of flights on it, and was getting a little to much play in it. This new replacement is nice and tight, no play. Hoping i get as much trouble free use as the original.

I ordered this as a replacement for my Stinger 90 and the wire lead is VERY short compared to the original and required an extension lead in order to work. Wish they offered the retract with the longer lead just like the OE retract.
