“If you're looking for a boom box not for you. I bought 2 of these for my kids so they could learn how to solder. I think I bought them for me as I built them. I know nothing about radios but fun project. as info I used different solder. 60/40 so has lead. My kids are 7 and 9 so maybe to advanced for young kids. Radios look nice and at least my kids use them”
“I got it and built it rite away. This was my very first soldering project. Instructions where clear and easy to fallow.At first the radio did not work and I needed to tweek it a little.There was one part of the board where I had overheated it and needed to fix the damaged area.I live in a rural area and am able to pull in 7 local radio stations clear and loud. But you do need to manage your expectations, its a home built radio after all.This radio is now in use in my work area.You cant go wrong at this price. Very rewarding to listen to knowing you built it.”
