“My son managed this 80% on his own. We didn't use the included soldering iron though. It really isn't hot enough for the 99% tin solder included. It would probably be fine with lead solder though. If anyone still sells that. We used my soldering station instead.”
“If you want a quality working frequency modulation device (or FM radio) then you should buy a pre-assembled unit. You have to accept the fact that this device may (or may not) work correctly when completed. It's a learning project for beginners. I've read some reviews saying that this isn't for beginners but, in my opinion, it's perfect for beginners. At first it looks intimidating but after you read the instructions a few times and solder your first few discap capacitors it's just a matter of time before you get the hang of it. It took me five hours. When finished it worked great for about thirty minutes. That was enough time for me to take a video and upload it to social media. Now it has stopped picking up signals but it served its purpose.”
