“I have been flying this little beauty for 6 yrs now. Over 100 flights! It was my 2nd EDF. The first one was also this same plane. I crashed it because it was tail heavy and stalled a couple of times while trying to hand launch. With the nose pushed in, fuselage cracked and wings broke off I decided to try a second one.I had been using the Admiral 1600 3 cell battery on the first one. I changed to an Admiral 1800 3C pushed all the way forward using the battery strap to trap it in place and I took off the nose cone and glued (2) 7gram weights to the front of the plane. Holding the rear below the tail and launching at about a 30 degree angle with full throttle it flew straight out and needed very little trim to fly true and level. With the 1800 3C I get 3 minute flights using mostly full throttle.It’s now become one of my favorite go to planes. I have several larger EDF’s but none fly better than this one. I did put an Eagle A3 gyro inside which helps with stability especially during hand launching.One of the sweetest things about this plane is how I can totally reduce the throttle on landing approach and it will seemingly glide forever to a soft landing. After a few flights I was able to judge when to turn off the throttle in order to get it to land where I want it to.I did use some epoxy coated on the bottom with a brush to reinforce and protect it while sliding along the ground during landing and also made sure all surfaces were thoroughly glued in place to hold fast in case of the accidental hard landing.If you are looking for a reasonable priced 1st EDF this is a great choice. Just need to take the time to get this plane set up right.”

“First, I have 30+ years experience flying all kinds aircraft. This was my 1st purchase from Motion RC and I was excited about this plane. I did read the poor reviews about this plane and thought it was worth a try anyway. Boy was that a MISTAKE! I balanced both axially and front to back so I thought I would be in great shape. On the maiden flight, about 3 mins into the flight, it was in a left turn and suddenly spiraled into the ground. I tried what should have stopped it but it still went in. It uses 2 rods to control the elevator. On review of the wreckage, I found that 1 of the two clevises for the ELEVATOR FAILED pulling away from the rod. Therefore, only 1 elevator was active. The one active elevator and the aileron turn caused the plane into an unrecoverable spin. Very angry and disappointed that they would use such cheap items. Probably not buy from Motion RC again and I would NOT recommend buying from them, or at least, this airplane.”

“I've been flying for a good long while and thought I'd take a chance on this little jet based on reviews. Unfortunately, I feel that this specific one was defective right out of the box, as the upper and lower fuselage came apart on my first takeoff attempt. I did purchase the gear option, and maybe that was what did me in as I fly off of grass and clearly the body couldn't take the stresses. I contacted Motion RC about this (as technically the plane never left the ground), but was shot down by their customer service department saying that I had impact damage. Overall I'm disappointed in the quality of this plane, but more so disappointed in the customer service @ Motion RC. Haven't bought many items from them and probably won't buy from them going forward - too many other options out there (HH) with outstanding customer service.”

He used a 3S 2200mAH LiPo and he said that it was just a tad tail-heavy but was easily corrected during flight with some digital trim.This plane is easy to put together but it does require a lot of gluing (2-tube epoxy) to build. The wings are held on by epoxy. The vertical and horizontal stabs are also glued along with the nose cone. I bought the front wheel gear for it but my son did not want to use it for his maiden.Overall, this is an awesome plane. It is faster than his Motion RC F-22 and F/A-18. The color scheme is awesome and can easily be seen in the sky.He loves this plane!”

“Very happy with this purchase. Flies great with 2200 battery (no balance problems for me). Lands deadstick.Using Spektrum AR636 AS3X receiver. Downloaded PT-17 SAFE/AS3X profile into receiver and adjusted gains to:ROLL: Gain: 50%/ Head: 0 Priority: 106PITCH: Gain: 80% Head: 0 Priority: 160Yaw: 0 0 0SAFE works, but I don't use it as the plane is solid. Nice and fast even with installed gear -- hope to mod some retracts!? Anyway the $10 gear and steering work great.I removed the canopy and painted the interior because I didn't like the white. Very happy!”
