“I've purchased a couple planes from Motion RC. They have delivered as promised and the planes I chose were of great quality without problems out of the box. I have tested all the components on the Stinger and everything works. Just need to wait until spring to actually fly. (I should have purchased the Stinger when Motion RC had it on sale, but when their price went up and other vendors no longer had it, I had to purchase, even though I am 3 months from being able to use it. Will do business with them again.”

“I have had a Stinger 90 for 4 years now and is a go to model in my fleet, with a stable performance, 4minute flight time and good of grass. So how would the Stinger 64 compare? I was wanting a hand launch jet for winter use when our grass strip wont allow EDF ROG, I decided to order the F8 Crusader and the Stinger 64 to satisfy my scale and sports flying style. The Stinger 64 went together well and in less than an hour complete with all components fitting together nicely using screws provided with only one component, a short length of top deck, requiring gluing. All servos, linkages, and hinges were checked and all were found sound. The servos centralised perfectly when powered up with only one elevator push rod requiring altering to obtin an equal setting. The ESC was calibrated and handling thrust seamed very powerful. There were no suggested throw settings included in my manual and browsing through forums gave me a wide verity of different settings so I decided to fall back on my own preferred personal settings of Elevator - 30% up/down movement achieved by setting the endpoint to 80% on both up and down, DR is set to 100% 75% & 60% with 30% expo on all three stages. Aileron - 25% up/down movement achieved by setting the endpoint to 70% on both up and down, DR is set to 100% 75% & 60% with 30% expo on all three stages.Rudder - As much movement as possible with expo at 60% (fix stting).Happy with the setup it was off to the field for the maiden. The day was broken cloud, light but variable wind from the west swinging through N&S, Aritemperature +6C. For the maiden I used an Admiral 2200mah 3S 35C Lipo. This was set as far back in the battery bay as possible to acheive the given CG. All powered up and ready for launch with DR set to 100% just incase allot of throw was needed on the launch. A club memeber helped me for the first launch allowing me to have all fingers at the ready on the throttle/switches. A perfect launch follwed by a straight flight out to a sfe height where 20% up elevator trim and 3 clicks of right aileron was added. A flight of just under 4 minutes followed with all the manouvers attempted and acheived with ease. What a feeling a succesfull maiden with a grin from ear to ear. What a fun model and at a great price with a bonus of that wonderful sound from the 6 bladed fan. Would I have the 4S version? for me personally the 3S has great fun element and enough speed but if you are a speed freak then go for the 4SNegatives - My only negative is the weak nose which borke of on the thrird landing at the from of the batter bayand the fuselage split to the canopy, all an easy fix but anoying none the less. I also found CG different to that suggested in the manual and on the second flight moved the battery 10mm forward giving the Stinger a much more balanced feelBoth the stinger 64 and F8 Crusader fit exaclty the requirements I was looking for.You can see my maiden flight at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjQogCwBHWY&t=161s”

“Aircraft design and construction very good. Setup of flight control surfaces not good. Missing in the included manual. Out of box settings provided way too much throw. For an initial flight. My experienced pilot had a very hard time getting through the first two flights. He brought it to a very good landing despite extreme sensitivity of the controls. We adjusted the controls to provide lower control surface throws. Now waiting for a low wind day to get final flight control sensitivity adjustments completed. The were NO recommended control surface throw recommendations. That needs to be corrected. The out of box settings will make a crash a high probability.”

“I found it very difficult to hand launch it by myself without crashing. I only got it in the air one time before I broke the nose off on one of my 4 or 5 attempted hand launches that resulted in the plane diving towards the ground shortly after leaving my hand. I usually fly when there is nobody around to hand launch for me, so I have since ordered and installed the optional landing gear, but haven't yet gotten the chance to try it with them instead. It did fly pretty well the one time I managed to successfully hand launch it though.”

“This is the best 64 I’ve flown in the range I fly with a overlander 2200 weighing 170 grams all the way forward and the model is still a little tail heavy but to no avail she flys from the hand straight and true it’s heaven after some of the other 64s but this is a Jem thank you”

“Mooi leuk toestel. Vliegt zalig. Wel Dual Rate gebruiken. Anders is hij veel te heftig, zelfs voor een ervaren piloot. Makkelijk in mekaar te steken. En hij kan tegen een stootje. Zelf ondervonden. Servoprotectors heb ik moeten bijlijmen. Het is geen beginnersvliegtuig.”
