“Everyone will tell you this is a good first EDF and they are right .But I have most of Freewing EDF jets including the brilliant twin 80mm Mig 29 and would class myself has a competent EDF flyer and I love this 64 mm F22 .So much that if I had a mishap with 64 F22I would replace it straight away .It is just great to throw it in the car and fly it”

“This new v2 version of the little F-22 is a winner! As I only toss it I removed the nose gear and servo, which makes the CG exactly where it needs to be woth a 4S2300mAh shoved as far back as possible. I made all surface servo's independent so I could mix tailerons and give it massive throws. This way it can do all the stunts the 90mm can, as if it had thrust vectoring. Cobras, powerloops, tail slides and flat spins can all be done with it. Flying weight 1025gr, the thrust is just a little more than that. It’s not very fast though. Only little thing holding it on 4 stars instead of 5 is the sloppy turbine inlets. A little trimming with a scalpel and some grey paint fixed that. Awesome little bugger!”

“I flew mine for the first time today. I took off the wheels and hand launched. Very easy to hand launch this plane. The new edf unit felt good, after I flew 3 batteries I installed my Xfly 3200kv motor and fan. Now It’s got a bit more get up, have no problem pulling out of a stall or climbing into a vertical. Overall great plane.”

“Excellent delivery, great looking plane, flies good, had 3 tarmac landings all reasonable, unfortunately the plastic that covers the rear landing gear has come off and they also bend very easy. Beware if ordering from uk take into account paying import tax,”

“1. Motor bad Out Of Box ESC 40A/Full 53A/Half 23AAfter ESC Calibrate ESC 40A/Full 51A/Half 21A2. The manual say battery size4S 1600 to 2600. It says if not 1600, you have to add weight to tail.My Freewing 64mm F18 has a4S 2500 50C battery that balances on CG by moving battery backwards.But same battery in F22 can not move backwards and needed 2 oz of lead in tail. Heavier plane sank into grass bend and breaking landing gear!”

“This is a great jet but it is not for begginers. I am very new to this hobby and have never flown a jet before. I bought this to practice with, and after flying some other planes I realized that I should've never got this one as my first plane. The quality is awesome however. I crashed it pretty hard and it was barely damaged. Overall happy with the purchase, just not good enough to fly it yet.”
