“Built it, waited 2 weeks for nice weather, went out to fly it, throttled up and got about 20 feet from me and the fan started to shutter, didnt get to fly it but it does look sick on the wall”

“Plane flys great, not real fast, I put a lihv 4 cell battery in and that helped but the main landing gear is to weak. If you fly on a dirt runway it bends a little on takeoff and landing, on paved runway if there are any bumps or cracks the gear will bend. Every time you bend them back they get weaker. Buy extra!! Freewing, please make a stronger set of gear for this plane. The nose wheel is holding up probably because of that plastic brace that is on it”

“On my f18 super hornet. I have the 2836 3300 KV motor 12 blade.. I removed the week 40 amp ESC.. installed a 60 amp ESC.. and I was able to run a 5S battery.. 2200 milliamp 40 c... And my F-18 was clocked over 115 mph... That's pretty good for a 64 I got the fastest one... It's even faster than the new f9f panther that freeway came up with.. I recommend everybody that gets the F-18 remove that motor and go with it 28 36 3300 KV... This motor is capable of running on the 4S or 5S... If you got manicure grass the 5S is the best way to go... And change out the tires to Dave Brown tires they are a lot of work but they're worth it you're going to have to make brass bushings and drill out the wheels in order for these to fit... I got two of this if if 18 super hornets... These are the high performance but free wing removes the good motors and they put the cheap ones in and they still call it high performance.. they need to reinstall back the 2836 3300 KV motors they're much better they rev a lot higher and remember these are 12 blade..”
