“Great looking Freewing 64mm EDF F18 - I handlaunch mine so left the Landing gear off - it assembles really well, CG was no issue the battery bay has space for my 4s 2500mAh 50C and any RX I wish to use (AR410) in my case - wow what a great stable flying aircraft - I love this one ...”

“Love the jet I put a 3800 KV 5 blade edf in it. Though and it seems to fly about 5-10% faster over all. With the 11 blade speed seems to hit a brick wall. I know 11 blade or 12 blade edfs are all the range and produce more thrust. but I think in this particular jet the 5 blade works better.”

“Overall this jet was a pretty average. The plane does look very nice and the paint job was done well. The landing gear was decent looking and easy to install/remove. This is my 4th EDF, and I'm not too impressed. Out of the box I had a faulty aileron servo, almost put a hole in the wing trying to remove it. There is also a bit of play in the control surfaces in general (maybe only my jet). The battery bay is very large, I tried it with a 4S 2500 mAh, but it was a bit too heavy and sluggish. The CG is tricky to pinpoint, I've had 7 flights with various battery positions, the further forward, the easier it will tip stall. Tip stalling is very bad with this plane if trying to fly too slow. Any amount of wind made it feel unpredictable and difficult to fly. It didn't feel very "High Performance", mostly flew at 60-100% throttle. Most importantly, make sure to set the correct throw in the control surfaces. The full-flying elevator at full throw is crazy high and will likely result in a crash if not experienced. On the 4S spectrum, this jet feels a little more advanced to handle and master. This plane will be used to push the limits and practice risky maneuvers as I'm not too concerned with crashing it.”

“This is a great intro jet. However, additional cheater holes are needed for the 4S setup work at maximum efficiency. Some cooling holes are also a good idea near the front gear. Other than that, it's a perfect platform for all ages!”
